Chapter 2: Matt's Mate

Matt:

As I walk into school everyone instantly flocks to me to wish me a happy birthday. I normally love the attention, but Malic is giving me a headache with his restlessness. I finally push my way to my locker. A hand smacks me on the shoulder. I turn to see Brad, my best friend. Brad is the Beta's son, and my future Beta.

Brad: "Happy birthday man!"

Matt: "Thanks dude! You're going to be at the party tonight, right?"

Brad: "Of course dude! you think if miss you acting a full when you find your mate? plus, I want to be there to meet our future Luna!"

Brad and I have been best friends sense diapers. He has been my most loyal friend, and I knew he was excited for me to find my mate. As we are talking his sister, Brittany, walks up.

Brittany: "Hey baby, how's my birthday boy?" She runs on my arm while batting her eyes. Brad can sense my annoyance.

Brad: "Back off Brittany. I know you know he isn't your mate. You were crying about him not freaking out sense breakfast." I wanted to laugh, but I caught smell of that amazing strawberry and honey sint. I instantly start my search. All I have to do is lock eyes with her to know.

Malic is going crazy in my head. MATE! MATE! He's howling and screaming. No wonder he has been so restless sense this morning. We smelt her! She's from my pack, that's wonderful! No need for this stupid match up party tonight, but who is she?

As I'm searching I notice the orphaned girl trying to sneak to her locker. Why is she trying to hide? I keep staring, unable to take my eyes away. Her silver hair moves and I see a hand print on her face. It's nothing new. We usually pick and hit in her daily, but today it upsets me. I haven't seen her all morning. I'm curious what she did to deserve to get smacked. I chuckle slightly. Brad and Brittany are still arguing over her fit from this morning. I'm still staring at the orphaned girl. I can tell she knows someone is starting because she freezes. Why can't I look away? The next second she closes her locker and looks straight at me. NO!

I instantly her Malic yell Mate! in my mind. This is a joke right? Why in the world would the goddess give me such a magnificent alpha wolf and pair me with a wolfless Luna? I refuse to maje her my Luna. No way! She'll make my pack a target!

Malic is growling and trying to surface. He is demanding we go to her. I take my eyes off her and excuse myself to the bathroom.

Malic: "Go back and get Mate!" Why doesn't he understand that this is not a good idea? What did I do to the Goddess to be given such an unfit mate? I wanted a strong, fearless, protective Luna. Instead she paired me with a wolfless, incapable, omega.

Matt: "NO! The second I see her I will reject her! We can NOT have her as our mate!"

Malic instantly cut our link and went to a dark place in my mind growling. he was obviously mad. I don't understand why he can't get it that she isn't a good fit. She will never be a good fit!

I started my way to first period. Already late, great. At least the teachers know who I am. I could skip, and no one would say anything. damn. I really have to figure this s**t out. Why is she of all people my mate?

I was stuck too deep into my thoughts I didn't notice her intoxicating scent surround me until it was too late. Next thing I know she ran right into the front of me. Pleasurable sparks filled my torso as I looked into her gorgeous blue eyes. f**k! I'm already feeling the effects of this stupid bond. She looked terrified, but something else was there also.

Amanda:

History is my first period, and I'm already ahead. I asked my teacher to go to the library to get ahead in my math class. Of course he didn't care. Nobody does. I kept smelling something that stirred Angela. It smelt like pine and grass.

I didn't realize he was Infront of me, because I was talking to Angela. I instantly ran into his tall frame. His black tee held his arms in such a tight way his muscles were clinging to the small fabric. His grey jeans showed his butt in such a fantastic way I had to look. I hate this stupid crush. I should hate him. The second he looked at me I was terrified. I am definitely getting a beating for this. Great. So much for my day of peace.

He just kept starring at me an it made me nervous. What was he looking for? Dis he know about Angela? No, I shook that off. She told me she hides herself deep into my mind so no one but me would know.

Amanda: "Ummm I'm so sorry Alpha Matt, did I hurt you?" I know there was no way I hurt an alpha, but I had to apologize.

Matt: "No, how could you? Just watch where you're going next time."

With that he walked away with me dumbfounded. No beating?

School went by quickly. I ran to the pack house, and straight to my room. Guests were starting to show and there was no way I was going to be caught. Luna Lisa would be livid, and have her husband Alpha Robert punish me. Last time he punished me we went to the torture room. Angela couldn't fully heal me, so I still have the scars on my back to show from it. All over bumping into Brittany and she told them I hit her.

Angela: " Humph. I'm ready to hit that little slut." I giggled.

Amanda: "3 more weeks girl. Then we won't have to worry about them or anyone else again."

I fell asleep in a sleepless night after studying for my history exam. I couldn't get Matt out of my head for some reason.
