Amanda's Love Story

Chapter 1: Secrets

Amanda:

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Ugh, 5:00am comes early. I hit the button on my alarm, and wipe the sleep from my eyes. If I want a shower before doing my chores I have to get up now. Sleepily, I get up, get my clothes together, and head to the omega showers.

As tired as I am, I love walking through the pack house this early. It's quiet. Everyone is still sleeping, and enjoying their dreams. It is my special time when no one is yelling at me, or bullying me. It is also my only time to talk to my wolf, Angela.

Angela: "I'd like to run before the shower" She always wants to run before the others get up. We've kept her hidden from everyone, so this is her only time to feel the wind in her fur, and explore outside of my mind.

Amanda: "Not today, it's our turn to cook breakfast and you know Alpha Matt will get angry if we aren't finished in time, especially sense it's his birthday." She huffs at me.

Angela: "We need to train to put all these mutts in their place. I'm ready to show our full potential."

Amanda: "3 more weeks..." She pouts and cuts our link.

In three weeks I'll be 17. I'll be able to leave this awful place, and move to a new pack. A pack I can show my full potential. I cut the water to the shower and get dressed. Everyone will be waking up in two hours, so I need to hurry.

As I start breakfast, my mind is restless. My family moved to this pack when I was 5. My mother used to tell me how special we are, but willingly took the omega positions of this pack not to draw attention. I never understood why, but I also never questioned her. They were killed in a rogue attack when I was 6, and sense then I have been the orphaned punching bag. I do as I am told, finish my chores quickly, but a werewolf with no wolf always atracts negative attraction. I've never shown them Angela, and no one ever cared to be with me on my 13th birthday to see if I would shift.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! It's 7:00am, I hit the alarm on my phone. I have to start setting out the food. Everyone will be coming down soon. I put the pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns, and sausage on big platter plates for the others to come through and grab. I grab a piece of bacon to eat as I start cleaning the dishes. Trying to stay unseen through breakfast. It's Alpha Matt's 17th birthday, so hopefully everyone will be too excited for him to notice me. I just want one day with no bullying. A girl can dream. I will just slip out before everyone comes down and start my walk to school.

Matt:

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! I roll over hearing the obnoxious sound of the omega girls alarm. I know she's wolfless, but she knows we have exceptional hearing. She wakes me up every morning with that stupid alarm. I roll over to check my phone. It's 7:00am. Might as well start getting ready for school. As I'm getting out of the shower my mother, Lisa, comes barging in through my door.

Lisa: "Matty!!! Happy birthday my sweet!" I completely forgot it's my birthday. A surge of excitement runs through me! Today is the day I should find my mate!

Matt: "Thanks mom, but stop calling me Matty. I'm not a child anymore." I've always hated her nickname. It makes me sound like such a child.

Lisa: " Oh hush! You'll always be my baby. Now get dressed and hurry to breakfast! Don't forget your party is tonight! I've invited or neighboring packs to help you find your mate!"

As she walks out the door I roll my eyes. I put on my clothes feeling hopeful. I'm sure my mate is strong and beautiful.

Malic: "Mate is beautiful, and strong. I can feel it." He says as he howls in my mind. Malic is my wolf, he's a as black as night and taller than my dad's.

I head downstairs for breakfast. I keep getting a wiff of an amazing smell. It smells of strawberries and honey. I wonder what was cooked for breakfast. The closer I get to the kitchen, the better I can smell it. Malic is becoming restless. The first person I run into is Brittany, the Betas daughter. She's always had a thing for me, but I never made it serious. We have fun on the nights I have to blow off some steam. I won't be serious with anyone until I find my mate. She's complains because the omega girl left and she wants waffles instead of pancakes. I don't know why it's such a big deal. I love pancakes.

Brittany: "That stupid b***h, why did she leave so early knowing we might need something. This is ridiculous. I want waffles!" She finally catches sight of me. "Happy birthday Matty!!" She comes over and hugs me. I roll my eyes. I hate being called Matty. Malic is starting to stir.

Malic: " She's not mate! Only mate should touch us!" I ignore him.

Matt: "It's Matt. Why don't you get another omega to cook your waffles? Let everyone else enjoy their breakfast without your fit."

She looks surprised and embarrassed. She walked away stomping her feet. I roll my eyes. I can still smell that an amazing smell, but there are no strawberries for breakfast today. Whatever. Might as well eat and get to school before I'm late.

Amanda:

I have no friends, so I find my special spot outside under the oak tree at school and study. So far I've remained unnoticed. Good. I don't mind being alone. I have plenty of time to plan my escape, and I don't have drama of friends. Just as I was enjoying my peace I hear the ear piercing voice yelling at me. Brittany.

Brittany: "Why did you leave so early knowing you have f*****g responsibilities with the pack? Unlike your whale ass, not everyone wants pancakes every morning." This was over pancakes? I left early to stay out of trouble. Honestly, I don't like pancakes. I just cook them to keep Alpha Matt happy.

Amanda: " It's Alpha Matt's birthday. I made them for him, I'm sorry. I will make sure to make you waffles tomorrow morning." I so desperately want to punch her, but I keep telling myself to stay calm. Three more weeks. As I was trying to soothe the raging b***h I didn't realize what I said would piss her off more. I didn't even want to apologize in the first place! SMACK! She smacked me right on my left cheek. Pain radiated through my face, and Angela was growling in my head ready to take her.

Brittany: "So this is all an elaborate plan to try and steal MY luna position you f*****g slut? Matt will never like a fat ass whale like you. I don't want to see you near him. Stay your distance, and stop being a stupid whore." With that she turned around with her friends probably to find Alpha Matt. She left me angry. I already try to stay away from Alpha Matt! He is the whole start to the bullying, and my worst enemy! Three more weeks...

FLASHBACK 12 YEARS AGO...

The sweetest little girl was running through the street with her mother and father on her heels. "Momma, momma! Look s swing!" She was so excited as they last the playground. "Can I go play momma?" He mother looked into her beautiful blue eyes and pushed back her daughters beautiful silver hair out of her face. "Of course my sweet Mandy, your dad and I are going to go walk around, will you be alright?" Her mother's eyes held her worry, but her smile never wavered. "Of course momma!"

As she walked around she notice two boys and a girl playing, they looked to be around her age. She walked right up to them desperate to make new friends in her new home. "Hiya! Amy name is Amanda can I play?" They biggest boy looked right at her and pushed her down. "Why would we want to play with you? You're whole family is unwanted, are you sick?" With tears in her eyes, she shook her head no. The boy continued, "Hey guys come look at the unwanted freak." They all laughed as she ran.

FLASHBACK OVER

Even though the torment of Matt, I ended up with a crush. show stupid. To actually like your biggest bully. My dad used to tell me it was because he liked me. As we got older I realized it was pure hate. It was mutual.

I got up a dusted myself off. I'd make sure to remain unseen for the rest of the day. I refuse to let Brittany's b***h party ruin my day. Luna Lisa is having a party for Matt today and I've been told to remain in my room. I have never been more excited! I grab my bag and start heading to first period. I just have to try and swing by my locker to grab my history book. The hallways where full with everyone wishing Matt a happy birthday. Perfect! I could totally remain unseen. As I was hurrying through my locker I could feel eyes staring into my back. I close my locker and look back. My eyes lock with his beautiful green orbs. I hate my heart still has a slight crush. But, why is he staring at me?
