Rejected by Lucien
Chapter 1: Amelia's POV “Babe, how’re you doing?” Lucien, my fiancé's sweet voice, pierced my ear from the other end of the line. “Great, only I can't get you off my head,” I said, tucking a strand of hair I hadn't noticed before behind my ear while rolling my eyes simultaneously.” “Honey,” I continued. “ You working? I hope things aren't too high-stress. Don't let them bring you down.” "I’m actually at my place. I feel like I'm coming down with something," he said in a low voice, allowing me to hear the slight crack in his tone. "Sorry about that. Hope you're feeling better now? I can't have you sick," I said, slightly squeezing my face. “I’m doing much better now.” “That reminds me I have the sample for the wedding dress. The event planner requested we choose together. I promise, you’ll love it.” “That’s great,” He said with an enthusiastic voice. “Well, that would be it, love. Get a lot of rest.” I said, with a tone of finality, picking up a file from my desk. “I have a board meeting to attend.” “Alright.” Then I heard a slight beep, signifying that the call was over. Lucien is my mate and my fiancé. I literally owe him my life because when the whole pack rejected my essence as a wolf-less girl, the only thing saving me was my father's influence as the head of the pack. But Lucien had accepted me with my stigma and everything changed. He turned my life around; he made me believe that I had a purpose even as a wolfless being among my pack. “** The cab I boarded dropped me off in front of my apartment. I entered my apartment at exactly 4 pm. “I hope the catering woman dropped off the cake,” I thought as I moved to the balcony where my deliveries were dropped. But there was no sign of it. Today is Lucien's 25th birthday, and I'm so glad it is. It'll be a special night for us. “I hope Lucien likes his birthday gift,” I said, holding up a red silk gown to the mirror. Being a pear-shaped person, I could only imagine how dangerous I'd look. I giggled, jumping on the marble floor, holding the dress to my chest while spinning in slow circles. It felt so calm and natural. Anyways, I decided to do it this way because Lucien loved surprises more than anything I could think of. “Ohh, how his face will look when I bring in the cake, when I blow the candles and finally, when we finally get to make love again.” “Who attends board meetings on their fiancé's birthday?” I said with a wild grin. “Ping, ping!” The door bell rang. “Who's there?” I asked, moving towards the door. As I turned the door knob pushing it open, it was the delivery man. “Here,” I extended my hand, taking the cake from him. “I completely apologize for the late delivery and any inconvenience it might have caused” “It's okay,” I replied, and stepped into my house with the cake. After I signed the delivery papers, the delivery guy left. Inside the house, I packaged and designed the cake with flowers and get well cards. “Ohh,” I exclaimed, slightly hitting my hand on my head. “The balloons!” After getting them, I rushed to take my shower and put in some clothing. “You're guessing I'm obsessed, right?” “Well, I freaking am!” And I'm ready! *** I arrived at Lucien's house not long after, though his house was on a different street from mine. Looking down at my wristwatch, it was already 5:30. “Well I'm not so late, am I?” I knocked on Lucien's door for what seemed like five minutes but no answer. I started pacing around. “Is he alright? Did something happen to him while alone? Ohh, I should have come earlier.” I blamed myself, as I thought what to do. Then I remembered I knew his pin number, so I quickly dashed to his door and pressed the pin number. I sighed in relief as the lock clicked open, and a cold draft swept past me. “Lucien I'm here—” “Yess…. Oh my God. Lucien,” I heard the familiar voice of a female. “Yes, like that. You do it so well. Ruin my p***y!” I felt my chest seize as my pulse thundered in my ears. At first I wanted to tell myself that my ear was making up things or that the now incessant sound was coming from the television.. But then I heard the slapping of skin against skin and the spanking of ass, followed by a familiar voice spilling from the bedroom. “You're better than that log of wood, Amelia. Can't believe I've endured her for so long. If only she could be like you. This is better.” Instantly, I froze. My stomach lurched with a nausea I could not hold back. And the marble floor began to tilt the second I rubbed my palm on my face. “I'll f**k you till Dawn, till I ruin your p***y, till you beg me to stop.” Lucien uttered, his voice very audible to my ears now. It made my eyes feel a bit blurry as the room began to slowly tilt. Confirming my suspicion that he was definitely inside a woman. My heart skipped a beat, My fingers clenched around the cake box until my knuckles turned white, trying to get the full gist of their conversation. “She isn't worth your attention, I told you! She's useless. And I hate it that my uncle has to protect her everytime.” The female voice ranted. “Wait, her uncle?” Everywhere fes blur! “Yes, she's useless. Of course I never loved her. I only kept her because I didn't want my brother to claim her as his rightful mate. “She's not my rightful mate, my wolf can't even perceive her scent.” If my brother turns 27 in a few months without claiming his mate, his curse kills him and I get to be Alpha with you as my Luna. “Great plan, Lucien.” The female voice, I was sure belonged to Amber spoke. “I only need to keep her close enough till it's all over then she's out of our lives.” Lucien said, before burying his face between her chest, sucking her breasts while she rode him cowgirls style. All this while they didn't notice me, now standing by the door side clutching the cake and flowers I'd brought along. “Ugghh, Lucien you do it so good—” Amber's words were cut through as the cake collapsed from my hand hitting the marble floor and shattering in a loud thud, jolting the two of them on top of each other and then the popping sound of balloons. “Amber!,” I screamed furiously as I stormed into the dimly lit room. “Speak of the devil,” Amber murmured and Lucien immediately pushed her to the side of the bed. You're f*****g my fiancé?” My eyes blazed in furry, taking in the disgusting naked sight before me. The scene before me was uncalled for; Lucien and Amber stared at each other with no remorse for what they've done. Neither startled by my entrance. Fixing their eyes on each other like shameless duo. “Amber, how could you do this to me, your closest cousin? I confided in you, I told you things about my love life and I let you follow me to pick my wedding dress.” “Yes, I did it to you.” She said nonchalantly. “Who the hell are you in my life?” She feels no remorse for what she has done. Instead she walks around with her pants and I watch her walk with confidence from the big bed to the sofa. “Who's fault you're a log in bed?.” She added, rolling her eyes. “Lucien, you're having an intercourse with my sister?” I asked with a stern but calm voice. “Just tell me this isn't happening.. please.” I pleaded as tears row down my eyes. “Why couldn't you call me when you got here?” Why did you barge in yourself? Doesn't courtesy demand that?” He raised his voice in a growl. “Anyways, you've seen it all, I'm glad you have. I never loved you; it was all to get your father's recognition so I could temporarily claim you instead of my brother.” I felt everything around me blur in a second. For the second time. No, no, no! It can't be.” My voice cracked, laced with fear as his words rendered me powerless and useless. “Yes, it is.” Lucien said. “Amelia Lockwood, of the moon River pack, I reject you as my mate.” “What?” I staggered to the floor, my whole body ached from the severe pain of our partially broken bond. “You can't do this Lucien—” “She doesn't have what it takes to comprehend privacy. Too bad because she's been spoiled by her father.” Amber said, rolling her eyes. “I'm glad you're rejected.” she continued standing from the sofa to her feet. “Daddy's pet! He loves you not me, because I'm just his niece." “All good things weren't made for only you!” Amber screamed in my face. I ignored her sharp words and turned my pale face to Lucien. “Are you really going to do this? Remember your promises, our marriage…your kind words.” My tears flowed more than rivers. “Which marriage?” Amber asked rhetorically. “The only marriage that'll happen is ours. Lucien and I.” When Lucien wouldn't look in my direction I wiped my tears and mustered my courage. “I accept your rejection, Lucien Alexander of the Dark Crest Park.” Then I turned to Amber in disgust. “You're so shameless Amber!” I said with every fierceness in me. “Wait till I tell dad.” “You have no evidence—,” “Here, I've got one now.” I shoved my phone at her showing the picture I just took. “Come back here–” Suddenly, strong hands pulled my hair slamming me to the wall as I felt thick liquid gushing down my forehead. My eyes felt dizzy and in no time I was almost numb of my environment. And for a while everything went blank.
