She clearly said stop so Valentine had obliged and brought the car to a halt by the side of the road. The downpour was tremendous and both of them had to remain in the car, the atmosphere was tense but none of them knew what kind of tension this actually was.
“If you are so sure of your sight even in this downpour, I don’t see why you had to stop here.” She said almost in a whisper.
“You just told me to stop so why complain now. I left that particular choice to you and you made, remember?” he replied looking very confused by what she had just said. She managed to laugh now and kept laughing for a while, he had to ask “What is so funny now? You did not look any bit in a mood to laugh some seconds back.”
