Natalie’s P.O.V.
“You are going to your aunt’s home for the rest of the session, Natalie. I can’t believe that you sneaked out of the house when I sternly instructed you not to go out and embarrass the family.” My father yelled at me at the top of his lungs, making me pull the phone away from my ear.
My heart was now thudding hard against my ribcage in fear.
“I…. I need to submit my assignments, Dad. I…. I.” I tried to make an excuse for why I was in school, but his roar cut me off.
“Stop the f*ck your sh*t, Nat.”
I shuddered hard and looked around at the deserted area of the ground in the back of the school building. Tears started pooling in my eyes, and my lips trembled.
