Catleya Lockhart has always been abused, since she was young. Her face are covered with scars and her mate, the future Alpha of their pack rejected her and chose her sister instead of her to become his Luna. She was heartbroken, but what fueled her agony was when her own mate sold her to another pack. Bedded for another mateless Alpha, Catleya swore her revenge only that she found out that she was pregnant...not by one, but twins, who have the ability to wipe out their race or become the salvation that they can hold onto the moment that their sworn enemy awakens.

Will she let her abusers be massacred or will her heart as a Luna withstand her hate and save them?

“Catleya, stop!”

But my refusal is firm. If I let him hold me for once and look at me in the eyes, I will fall hard again, trapped on Noah’s web of lies and promises, while he commit the same thing over and over again as I suffered from it.

“It is an order—!”

But it’s too late. He lost me, when he chose her. My defences are low as I was crying, when a massive black mass engulf my senses, tackling me on the ground. My body shook. A shaky gasp left my lips parted as the bones on my back hit the brick wall. I whimpered, but physical pain were nothing for my mates treacherous lies he coveted.

In my blurry vision, I watched a few warriors rushed from the mansion, they were led by him, he looks madly worried, while he was staring at me.

Before Darkness consumed me while, I watched the woman hold him on his arms, and stop a few miles away from us and I knew for sure that he made a choice right at that moment.

Noah chose her...and in my heart I knew that I won’t every forgive him...again.

CHILDLESS LUNA
The great hall of judgment was silent—too silent. A cold tension coiled around the gathered wolves like a serpent poised, ready to strike at any minute. Then, his familiar footsteps echoed, heavy footfalls that only add up to the building tension. Alpha Noah’s voice pierced through the stillness like a thunder. “Now that everyone is present,” he declared, his voice echoing, full of rigor and authority, “the trial of the former Luna, Catleya Lockhart, shall commence.” I sat still, hands bound in silver cuffs, my wrists were both raw and bruised. But the pain they brought was nothing compared to the pain that was throbbing in my chest—the ache of betrayal, the hollow part filled with numbness and emptiness that is slowly eating me whole and alive. Beside him stood Cassidy—my sister. The woman who had ruined everything that I’ve worked for. My jaw clenched as my gaze locked with Noah’s. Those familiar icy blue eyes held none of the warmth they once did. Now they looked at me like I was nothing, but a mere stranger. No—a mistake. A failed bond. A regrettable choice of the Moon Goddess herself to pair me with him. “Former Luna of the Blood Moon Pack,” Noah continued, not once flinching, “how do you plead to the accusations brought forth by Cassidy Lockhart?” I stood my ground stubbornly, refusing to lower my gaze. I forced myself to meet his hatred head-on, even if every second of his scorn chipped away the only remnants of my dignity. “Not guilty,” I said clearly, although my voice trembled beneath the weight of my despair. Without batting an eye, Noah’s gaze pierced through me like a knife, “Then I, Alpha Noah Blackthorne, revoke your title. You are no longer the rightful Luna of this pack.” The hall erupted—gasps, whispers, and a few muffled cheers. Some rebels stirred but quickly silenced themselves beneath the weight of Noah’s authority. I sat unmoving, numb. Even my wolf whimpered, retreating into the shadows of our soul that is now shattered, broken slowly by his declaration. As Noah leaned in to comfort Cassidy, drawing her into his arms as she wept, a bitter smile pulled up at my lips. That should be me, I thought. We were meant to lead together. To grow together. To fight for our pack side by side... But fate—no, betrayal—rewrote that story. He didn’t just choose her. He gave her everything that belongs to me, every right that I have on this pack that he selfishly took away without any regret. Cassidy, with her weeping eyes and trembling hands, mourned a child she lost. Their child. His child. My mate’s child with my very own sister. My stomach churned at that thought. The pain twisted inside me, deep and scarring my chest, spreading like a wildfire. “You can’t do this!” My father’s voice boomed throughout the chaos. “She is your mate! She earned her place beside you. You dishonor not only her but the bond gifted by the Goddess!” But Noah didn’t waver. His gaze turned to my father, it was ice-cold. “Enough, Beta. Speak again, and I’ll banish you along with your useless daughter.” My mother flinched. “Honey, please. Think of Cassidy. Think of the baby... We lost a grandchild.” Her words hit harder than any slap. Not a word in my defense. Not even a whisper. Just like that, she’d chosen sides the same way she always does, it was always her, it will always be my sister. Tears slid silently down my face. I had held onto the hope that perhaps, just maybe, my mother would stand for me. But I was wrong—again. I was always the one who was left behind. Always the one who was expected to endure and understand, but how much longer do I need to? My thoughts were cut short by a blood-curdling scream. “Rogues! We’re under attack!” Before I knew it, a black blur slammed into me without any warning. In a plit second, my back hit the stone wall, and the pain erupted along my spine like a gut-wretching wound, but it was nothing compared to the betrayal that continued to burn inside of me.. Just before darkness claimed me, I bear witness how Noah shielded and protected Cassidy. Not me. It was never me. He chose her. And I knew, in the shattered silence of that moment, that I would never forgive him. **** “Cassidy is pregnant.” The words hit harder than any battle wound I have endured for so long. Each word is a knife carving its truth into my chest. I stood there, motionless, my world tilting as his words sank in. Pregnant with his child. And not just anyone’s child—but Cassidy’s. My sister. “Why her?” My voice cracked. “Why…why are you doing this to me, Noah?” His eyes that were once the sea I could imagine myself drawn into, were now steel, cold, and hard without any feelings. “Because she can give me something you can’t, Catleya. An heir. The pack needs one..” I couldn’t breathe. Ten years. For ten years, I gave him everything—my heart, my soul, my loyalty. I wore the title of Luna with honor, despite his indifference. Despite the cold bed and empty words, I bear witness, despite this loveless marriage of fate. But I had failed him in the one way that mattered the most for Noah, and especially for the pack. “I’m sorry, Luna,” the pack doctor had said, weeks ago. “You’re infertile. There’s no chance, not even a sliver of hope that you’ll be able to conceive a pup.” “That—That can’t be true!” I choked out, my voice cracking like brittle glass. The room was too bright, too quiet. The scent of antiseptic burned my nose, but it was the weight in the doctor’s silence that made me feel truly sick. “It must be a mistake,” I whispered, clinging to the last thread of hope. But the way he looked at me—soft, resigned—told me what I already knew. There were no mistakes. Not this time. I turned to Noah, desperate for something—reassurance, a flicker of warmth, a lie even—but he stood beside me like a stone, unmoved. The man I called my mate, my Alpha, couldn’t even meet my eyes. I reached for him, fingers brushing his arm, but he pulled away. And now I completely understand why. The days that followed blurred into whispers and stares. Rumors moved through the pack like a wildfire, cruel and unrelenting. The Luna is barren. I kept waiting for Noah to defend me, to protect me from the storm, but he didn’t. He only grew colder. More distant. And the further he pulled away, the more I noticed how close he stayed to her. Cassidy. My sister. Her name was a curse on my tongue, sweet as honey but sickening at the same. I’d heard the whispers—caught glimpses of them together when I lingered in shadows I was never meant to see. The touches. The stolen glances. The truth was always there, waiting for me to gather the courage to face it. But courage was a fragile thing when you feared it might confirm your worst nightmare. “I love you,” I told him one night, voice small and breaking. “Didn’t you ever know that?” He turned to me with a scowl. “Don’t embarrass yourself, Catleya.” The name sounded like a venom from his lips. “I’m not stripping you of your title,” he said coolly, “but if you lay a finger on Cassidy, I won’t be so forgiving.” His words sliced through me, a precise, merciless blow. I stumbled back, my breath hitched. “I’ve informed the elders,” he continued. “They agree—this is necessary. My pack needs an heir. With or without you.” Even my father? He agreed to this? My own blood? When Noah walked away, he didn’t even glance at me. I stayed there for hours, motionless. A statue of grief. That’s how my mother found me—sitting on the cold floor, broken. But she wasn’t alone. I knew she wasn’t before I looked up. That scent... too sweet. Too familiar. Cassidy. She stood in the doorway, tall and luminous, with eyes like a polished jade. She had always been the prettier one. Softer. More delicate. Easier to love. “Catleya,” she said, voice trembling. “What are you doing here?” I snapped, my voice sounded like a blade. She flinched, but my mother leapt in to defend her. “Don’t speak to your sister like that,” she scolded, gripping my wrist. “It wasn’t her fault.” “I did it,” Cassidy said suddenly, lifting her chin with a kind of faux bravery. “I’m sorry, Catleya. I never wanted to hurt you. But I couldn’t help it. I’ve loved him since before you became the Luna. We were in love long before Noah found you as his mate….” I froze. The confession left me breathless. My head is already spinning. “Cassidy, what are you saying?!” my mother cried, stunned. “It wasn’t your fault—you know that!” But Cassidy pressed on. “He’s the Alpha. I couldn’t say no. I loved him first, and you... You took him from me.” She began to cry, and my mother rushed to console her. To console her—the one who betrayed me. Can’t they see? Can’t they see that I’m the one who’s bleeding here? “Cassidy has apologized,” my mother whispered. “And let’s be honest, darling... she can give the pack something that you can’t. A child.” My heart twisted. “How can you say that to me?” I asked, I am already broken. “For the good of the pack,” she replied calmly. “This child will secure our future.” Cassidy stepped forward, eyes wide and shimmering. “Please, Catleya. Don’t hate me. Don’t hate the child. I love this pack just as much as you do.” I snapped. “You dare pretend to be the victim?” My voice rose, sharp and cold. “You slept with my mate. You knew what you were doing. And now you stand here asking for my forgiveness?” Tears rolled down from her cheeks. She sank to the floor, sobbing. The door slammed open. “Cassidy!” Theo’s voice thundered as he burst in. My brother. The pack’s proud warrior. His eyes blazed with fury. But not at her. At me. “She’s carrying the future of our pack! How could you treat her like this?” he barked. I met his rage with ice. “I have no sister who destroys homes,” I said flatly. “Not in this family.” “Luna—” “I said I wish to be left alone. Do not defy me again, warrior.” Theo gritted his teeth, but he lowered his gaze and bowed. I walked away with my back straight, my heart in pieces. They all bowed as I passed, but it felt hollow. Not loyalty. Not respect. Pity. Or maybe relief. Maybe they were glad I had finally caved in. When I reached Grace’s room, I collapsed into her arms. “Luna... what happened?” she whispered. “I feel like I’ve died,” I murmured. We grew up together. Trained together. She was the closest thing I had to a family now. “That bastard! That traitor! I’ll rip his throat out myself,” she hissed. I sobbed harder, clinging to her. “You’re our Luna. You’re chosen. The Moon Goddess doesn’t make mistakes.” “Then why does it feel like she did?” I said softly. “Maybe she paired me wrong. Maybe... maybe Noah and I were never meant to be.” “Don’t say that—” “Don’t try to fix this, Grace. Not this time. I’ve given them everything. My strength. My pride. My love. And still, it wasn’t enough. Because I couldn’t give them an heir.” She didn’t argue. She just held me tighter. “I’m leaving,” I whispered. “For good this time.” Grace pulled away slightly. “You’re serious?” “Yes. And not even my wolf is fighting me anymore.” My voice cracked again. “She’s tired too. Tired of being betrayed. Tired of being less.” Before Grace could respond, the door behind us burst open. The scent hit me first—woodsmoke, wild pine, and fury. I heaved a sigh, the familiar scene allowed me to recognize who it was in the doorway. Noah stood in three, blue eyes like a frozen sea, jaw clenched with fury. “Hello, Luna,” he said, his voice low and dangerous, and they held angst fury when they meet mine.
