CHAPTER 42: CONFRONTATION The wind howled through the courtyard like a mourning ghost as Noah stepped forward, his boots crunching on the gravel that surrounded the pack's sacred circle. The night was heavy with tension. Clouds hung low, pregnant with storm. The pack had gathered after the Alpha’s sudden summons—faces tight with confusion and unease. Whispers rippled like a rising tide. Cassidy stood near the fire pit, draped in pale blue as though trying to preserve her Luna façade. Beside her, Theo lingered—silent, stiff, eyes glancing left and right, sensing something off. But it was Noah who held their attention. His expression was unreadable, but the fury boiling beneath his skin was palpable. His jaw was tight. His eyes? Black as the storm clouds above. “What’s going on, Alpha?”
