Chapter 22 A flickering light disturbed Steigan's sleep. He woke to find the lantern he'd carried with him starting to burn low. He turned the wick up a little, then stood up. Raising the lantern above his head, he tried to shine the light high enough to see the door. “Martias?” he asked, hoping he'd get an answer from above. Silence. Gathering his things, he decided to take a look around to see if there were escape tunnels or a dead end.
