CHAPTER 7

New chapter is finally out sorry for the wait

Jo's POV 

I don't know how much time I spent working on the coming projects which was really important for the company. I know it's Sunday but the earlier start the earlier I finish and start another project worth millions of money. I felt my tummy rumbling so I decided to check the time. I was actually surprised when my watch said it was already 8 pm.

I spent more than 5 hours working but this was me I love to work that's why I have my own business.Although I was a workaholic there is only one thing that can keep me away from work and that's my food.i really loved food and the thought of it made me even hungrier so I decided to go help myself or even order something.

I walked out of my room to see the bright light from the living room hitting my face,being in a dark room while staring at the light from the laptop was making me affected by the bright lights but my eyes adjusted to it finally.

As I moved closer to the living room, I started to hear familiar voices and I knew exactly who they were. "What are they doing here,"I whispered to myself a bit confused. They were all laughing and having fun they didn't even notice me entering the living room so I decided to clear my throat and they look at me.

"What are you doing here?"Brad asked me "um this is my apartment so I'm allowed to be here and what are you doing here I thought you left for your business trip or something,"I answered rubbing my eyes tiredly and slumping myself on the coach next to Xavier.

"I decided I'll leave tomorrow," I shrugged my shoulders "ok ."

I was already comfortable in the coach eating the bag of potato chips on the table watching the TV with the guys .Then the comfort was ruined by Em and Beth walking out of the kitchen covered in flour looking angry and Tina was right behind them looking down and I had the idea of what happened. I let out a laugh and their eyes diverted to me "let me guess Tina dropped bag of flour or accidentally placed it in the oven,"I said still laughing "you were here the whole time and you let us go in the kitchen with her?" Beth said angrily pointing at Tina who was trying her best puppy dog eyes "I said I was sorry"Tina said making all of us burst into laughter at her hopeless puppy dog eyes, instead of looking cute she looked like a pig.

After a while the laughter died off when Brad brought the question "so what are we eating for dinner because I know that kitchen looks like flour factory after my girlfriend bombed it,"he said bringing my attention to my hungry stomach , "get your ass off the coach woman and into the kitchen,"Em's voice came"can't we just have a take out or something?"I said tiredly "nooo, we have been eating burgers fries and pizza too much we need to start eating healthy"Beth said coming over to the seat trying to pull me off "since when do you care about eating healthy,"I questioned trying to hold my weight down on the couch"since now,"she answered"then make yourself a salad and I'll order a pizza for the rest of us ... And if you are trying to eat healthy why is there flour all over my kitchen?"I said and she looked defeated for a while "never mind that just get up and come,"she said this time more like begging than asking"guys I'm tired I've been working all day all meeti..."I stopped in bed my sentences when I saw them gesturing behind me tensed and Xavier at this moment was elbowing my rib so I decided to look at what they were looking at.

Tilting my head I was shocked to see Daimen's face with a smirk dancing on his lips. I thought he left what the actual hell is he doing here "what are you doing here I thought you left after the talk?"I asked bringing my thoughts to life "aren't you gonna say hi to...." "Oh cut the hi crap and tell me what you are doing here" I cut his sentence short.

"Feisty ," he said his smirk still on his lips and I gave him the angry stare i"ok so I wanted to leave but the guys arrived so we decided to just hang here "he added"but im a bit curious you didn't finish your statement you were working?"he said wanting me to continue then it hit me oh s**t how could I have been this careless for the second time this week I almost blew my cover .I need to be more careful."umm...um ... Working out,yeah I was working out, meeting my fitness coach soon,"I said stammering figuring what to say next I had to get out of here before I have nothing else to say "so..," he started but I stopped him but running into the kitchen calling the girls over " it's time to cook a healthy meal ladies get in here," I said getting away from the living room and the girls following me.

The kitchen was actually a mess utensils were all over the counter and flour was everywhere and I mean everywhere "what really happened here ?"I asked shocked of how this happened I know it was Tina's fault but how is there flour on the ceiling and the fridge "do you really want to know," Em asked and I nodded in response "so she threw a bag of flour on the ceiling for a reason we don't know and I think you know the rest "Beth answered giving Tina a stare "I said I was sorry,"Tina said pouting and we all rolled out eyes and decided that Beth and Tina should clean, I should cook and Em should finish up with the baking.

We engaged in a little talk and I ended up telling them what happened at Daimen's house this morning and why he was here in short everything that happened today.

"Why did you not agree to be his assistant?"they said in unison " coz I have a life,"I said removing the plates from the rack and placed them on the dining table.

"You have to be his assistant so you can annoy the hell out of him I know you hate no you don't like each other so why not enjoy his cold ass self a headache,"Tina said that was actually a good idea... wait did she say cold." What do you mean cold all I've seen is not actually happy but not cold,"I asked and they all shrugged " just accept to be his assistant and you'll see for yourselfyourself," Beth said rising my curiosity to level ten.we finished cooking and cleaning so we called the guys for dinner.

We ate with small talks around the table and soon enough we were done.i started to gather up the plates but they were too many "let me help you," I heard Daimen's voice from behind me and I nodded in response he offered I can't deny help when I need it.

I walked to the kitchen with him behind me and placed the sink him doing the same I started washing them when he came next to me rinsing and wiping them ."You don't have to do that you are a guest go watch a movie with the guys,"I said,"since when do you care if I'm a guest or not,"he said arching his eyebrows ok he has a point but I'm not a terrible person ," you are right I don't but for real this is my work just stay with the guys," "no I insist on helping" "ok if you say so I'm not in the mood for arguing over this so just wipe them and place them on that side rack,"he nodded and we washed the dishes silently until we were nearly done I decided to break the silence "so about that deal I'll do it I'll be your assistant but we'll have to act officially in front of the other employees I don't want to be judged by the others," I said making a smile appear on his face the first ever genuine smile "thank you for the help,"he said and we finished off in silence.
