CHAPTER 6

Sorry for the late update

Jo's POV

"What?"I asked shocked looking at him horrified.

"You heard me baby girl,"he said a smirk forming in his lips.

"Why do I have to come to your office every day ?"I asked"and why are you even smirking"I added .I have only know this man for 2 days and he is already getting on my nerves ugh. "Just for people to believe it's real,"he said in a duuh tone his smirk still dancing on his lips."I have a life it's not like I'm earning anything from this stupid deal,"I said rolling my eyes.

     "Wait ...you call being a janitor a life,"he said laughing hysterically. Now you have crossed the line Mr I'm gonna skin you alive. Calm down he is just being dumb stupid arrogant I thought to myself and took a deep breath calming myself down but his laughter was not helping it and I couldn't hold it anymore. I stood and hit the mahogany table  in front of me it was painful but I did my best hiding the pain by clenching my fist and he stopped laughing."what...,"I stopped him in the middle of the sentences"You know what I'm not doing this deal anyway it wasn't benefiting me at any point so have fun finding another girl for this stupid deal,"I said picking my phone from the seat and walked away towards the door.

    I opened the door expecting him to stop me and call me back but when I got out and he still hadn't my heart clenched. Did I want this?no Jo you did not keep moving,but why am I feeling this way. I just closed my eyes ignoring my thoughts and walked away from the house into my car and drove home.

I got home and nobody was there and I let out a sigh of relief. I just wanted to be alone and I don't know why.

I went to my room  took a quick warm shower and I put on the most comfortable clothing in my closet which is a fluffy bunny PJs I loved animals so I had a lot of animal costume PJs. I then sat on my bed taking my laptop and started viewing the proposals and projects in my company. I don't know how much time I spent on my laptop but I was interrupted by a knock on the door and I went to see who it was.

        "Hold on I'm coming"I said when the person kept knocking at the door.

         I opened the door and to my surprise it was actually Daimen. He was dressed in a black sweat pants and a white hoodie . He leaned at the door standing tall and I actually never realised how taller he was than me until now.

     "Um what are you doing here ... couldn't find a more perfect lady than me "I teased looking up at him with a smirk.

       "Aren't you gonna invite me in  like every body does to their friends?"he said giving the same smirk."you forgot we are not friends and I'm not everyone I only invite worthy people in my apartment,""so you are saying I'm not worthy enough to be in here"he asked and I smirk "wait.."I said dramatically looking around" I don't see anyone else around so yes you are not,"I added.

His eyes trailed down to my feet and he asked "what the hell are you wearing you look like there was a bunny rain on your clothes"he said with a chuckle." This is clothes I call comfortable and you wouldn't know that coz you are Mr fancy pants,"I said with a smile leaning across the door frame with the door partially opened.

    Then his next move surprised me ,he picked me up like I was a piece of paper and placed me aside stepping in."Hey! breaking and entering is illegal,"I said closing the door"actually I didn't break in the owner had the door opened for me "he said "but I didn't allow you to come in ,"I retorted back and he just chuckled.

  "Anyway what are you doing at my house?"I asked." Ok so I changed my rule ,"he said in a bored tone. "Ooh ..so I was right couldn't find anyone hotter than me"I said grinning at him,"there girls hotter than you but Madi saw you with me so you are my only option ,"he said and I could see sadness in his eyes when mentioning Madi he masked the look on his face and I decided to ignore it and change the subject.

      "Ok so what's your new rule?"I asked curious." Ok since you don't want to come to my office everyday  then stay at my office all day"he said what is in this guys brain does he think that I can just stay at his office doing nothing." What? "I asked shock visible in my voice"I am not staying at your office doing noth_ _ _ _"I was interrupted"let me finish Jo"I nod agreeing, "so my personal assistant is getting married so she'll be away for a while almost a month and I need a new PA and I heard from Em you know about business"he said. That was actually not such a bad idea but it was going to interfere with my work  so I couldn't I still had to be a 'janitor' if you know what I mean. "I'm sorry but I can't be your PA,"I say and his face drops.

  "Why not this is a perfect opportunity for you and I'm sure you'll make more money than being a ..."he didn't finish the sentence but I got what he was implying.

"You don't have to quit your job if you like it that much,"he said again even before I had time to think. I've already done enough stupid things this week I'm not adding anymore to my list. "I'm not doing this I already agreed to being your 'girlfriend' I don't think I want to see your annoying face every day,"I said turning away heading to my room"I can't help you with this,"I said disappearing in the corner heading in my room and sat on my bed doing absolutely nothing then I heard the front door open and I assume he left.

So I continued working.....
