CHAPTER 15

Jo's POV

"Hey ,wake up lazy butt face,"cake the chirpy voice I can realize from miles away,o my gosh not again I thought as I covered my head with the bed cover just in time as I felt the matress sink ,she is on my bed this is not ending well . She started shaking me vigorously just as I expected , why do I have her as a best friend I sadly thought as she ripped the blanket off my body and the cold breeze from the open window hit me.

"Give me back my blanket,it's cold" I groaned eyes half closed trying to reach out for her but this b***h was nowhere near me .

"Get the hell out of that bed ,it's Monday you have to go to work,"she said her voice harsh and commanding that's my best friend when she wants something.

"I don't wanna go to work I'll just say I'm sick or something"I said my head on the pillow my eyes still closed ,"Is it because you bailed on him or because you are jelly that he kissed someone on your date night,"although I could not see her,I knew she was smirking as she said that ,that Friday night she force the words out of me every single detail ,I don't know how she does it .

    "No!"I replied fast and firmly and turned my back towards her "that was a fast reply and you look like you're blushing so that means yes," with those words my eyes popped open and I just look at her like what the hell and she just started jumping on my bed shaking it"first I am not blushing and second I am not afraid to face him,"I said looking at her.

  "A.." "it looks like you don't need the water she is awake "Tina's next words were interrupted by Tanya who was standing at my bathroom doorway with a medium sized bucket filled with water I suppose," no need Tanya I found a way to wake her up,"Tina said smiling these two are just evil they were going to wake me up with water all over my face and bed,they have done it several times and it looks like there are going to be more wet beds in my morning.

"When are you giving birth so you can do this to your children and leave me alone"I muttered to myself as I headed to the bathroom" I heard that," 

"It was meant for you to hear"I said as I slammed the door shut.

"Bye, have fun at work if you know what I mean " she says winking"so where are you going now"I asked "I think I'm going back there ,"she said shrugging she looks a bit tense I'm sure Brad and the baby are occupying her mind I wish I could help .

  "Ok drive safely call me when you get there and don't think to much, don't stress yourself you'll tell him when you are ready,"I said pulling her in for a hug when I pulled away tears were falling from her eyes" don't cry everything will be okay,"I said at the moment worrying about her "I'll be okay go to work or you'll be late ,"

"Smile first then I'll go ,"and she just smiled and wiped her tears "good girl ,"I said smiling back and pinching her cheeks "don't forget to call me when you get there okay,"she nodded and waved at me as I got out and I waved back with a smile.

I entered the building my heels clinking on the floor as I walked through the silent corridors of the building. I am an hour early,I still have some time to deal with the company before the first meeting between leejo and black industries. I finally got to the top floor after a very long silence to the 20th floor why did it have to be so far thank God I don't have to take the stairs.

I hummed my favourite song (superficial love)as I walked towards my office . It's good that I'm an hour early it will give me time to think about the meeting and my life in general,I thought as I placed my bag onto the cabinet stacked with files,I took the files I need but before I could turn to my seat my phone rang.

   Brad what could he be calling about"heeeey !" I said enthusiasm filled in my voice once I answered the call 

 "So are you nervous for the meeting?"he asked concerned what happened to this guy I'm sure he wants something.

  "What do you want?"

  "Can't a brother be concerned about his little sister?" 

"Now I'm sure you want something,what is it?"

   "It's nothing just wondering how you are ,"Brad said and I picked my documents walking over to my chair

  "I am fi...aaah,"I let out a shriek when I see Daimen sitting on my chair o mi god did he just listen to the whole conversation what was I thinking talking without knowing people surrounding me , stupid stupid stupid me I scolded my self

"Jo are you okay?"Brad from asked snapping me out of what ever that was, "yeah I'm fine I'll call you later bye Brad"I said very fast as I hang up the phone before waiting for his reply.

"You scared the crap out of me ,what are you doing here Daimen?"I said and he just looked at me without doing anything then just looked at the ground"I asked what.."I heard you the first time you don't have to repeat it,"arrogant much,what is usually wrong with this man I scolded him in my head ,I just took a deep sigh as I closed my eyes and opened then a moment after.

   "Then if you have nothing to say leave my.."I started in a relaxed tone"why did you leave?" He said " what?"I asked confused.

"Don't play dumb here Jo ,why did you leave on Friday night without telling me and worst of all you paid the bill what will people think,"he said his fist clenching why is he angry I did him a favor by leaving early .

   "All you care about is what people will think,huh I actually did you a favor ,hope you had fun with that girl,"I said trying to be as calm as I could but my voice was doing the opposite.

   "You saw that?"he ask with an unreadable expression and I came back to my right mind. Jo why are you doing this,you are just a fake girlfriend for the public figure, nothing more so stop acting like a jealous girlfriend cause you never will be ,you don't like him he doesn't like you I reasoned with myself and took a deep sharp breath .

     "You know what,just forget what I said I saw nothing and you don't owe me any explanation,ok deal "I paused for a while but before he could continue I again answered myself "deal ,now if you have nothing more to say to me I have some work to do,"I just pointed at the door and he stood from my chair and walked to the door his emotions still unreadable and I just chose to ignore him until he left so sat on my chair and started looking at some files until I heard the click of the door indicating he had left that's when I let out a heavy sigh I had no idea I was holding as I stared at the door.

Why does my heart feel like this? Do I have feelings for Daimen?
