I was still curled up in bed with red and puffy eyes when I caught Mason’s scent. I groaned lowly, already knowing what was to come. I had been there when he teased Dylan mercilessly after Remi left him and I did not want to be subject to that same treatment. I clenched my eyes shut but he was a f*****g wolf and he could hear my heart so he would know I wasn’t actually asleep but hopefully he could be kind enough to not say anything spiteful. “It reeks of pain and regret in here,” He said, flinging my door open so that it banged against the wall. I should have known he would not have anything nice to say. If anyone adored the concepts of mates the most in the world, it had to be Mason. He was twenty and has been eligible to find his mate for two years now but he hasn’t found her. I
