“The hospital is on fire and we’re all in danger!” Lucas snapped, “Do you mean to get everyone killed? I know the army has unlimited power in this country. But you have no right to investigate us when our lives are threatened.”
“Besides, the girl just passed away this morning. Her parents are driving all the way from another city to the hospital to get a glimpse of her dead body. They are gonna be here soon. I don’t expect you to feel any sympathy but at least have some respect!”
Apart from being a scum, Lucas was actually a decent actor. I had to give him that.
So this was their strategy to dodge the army’s inspection? They pretended that they were sending away a dead body from the hospital?
Now that they pulled the respect-the-dead card, Aaron had no choice but to let them pass.
