What? How could this be? I didn’t think James would purposely send a fake replacement of “Martha”. I listened to Kazeem’s words over the phone and the scent of Jasmine intensified, signaling her presence. I abruptly ended the call.
“Is there a problem, Jasmine?” I asked. She nodded, saying she’d just come for the company logbook, though her eyes told a different story. She seemed to want to say something, ask questions, but thought better of it.
