I racked my brain, trying to place the man’s face, but it remained elusive, a complete mystery. With a sigh, I decided to push it aside for the moment. There were more pressing matters at hand.
“We’re studying how the Lycan virus operates. Our research suggests it incubates in the cells for two weeks before symptoms manifest and then rapidly deteriorates,” Dr. Liam explained. I nodded. I nodded, absorbing the unsettling information.
“Keep up the good work. I hope we find a breakthrough soon,” I said, leaving the room. My mind was a whirlwind, and I didn’t know where to begin.
