TWISTED FATE -- Chapter 1
Chapter 1 – The Engagement Day
Park Thi POV :
The whole mansion was decorated like a dream. Lights, flowers, gold everywhere… but none of it felt like happiness to me.
I stood in my room balcony, holding the cold metal railing. Below, the garden was full of guests and preparations. Everyone was busy talking about one thing.
“Park Thi – Fanglang engagement.”
I closed my eyes tightly.
Fanglang…
Just hearing that name made my chest heavy. I never liked him. I never wanted this marriage. But in my world, my opinion never mattered.
Footsteps came behind me.
“Thi… please understand,” my sister-in-law said softly. “Fanglang is a good match. This will secure our family’s future.”
I didn’t turn back.
“My future?” I whispered. “Or your decision?”
No answer.
But my heart… it was somewhere else.
Somewhere unknown…
Jeon Jayhyung.
I don’t even know why his face keeps coming into my mind again and again. Like a memory I never lived… but still belongs to me.
Jeon Jayhyung Intro – Mafia World
Far away from the decorated mansion… another world existed.
A dark underground warehouse echoed with screams and punches.
A man stood in the center… calm… dangerous… untouchable.
Jeon Jayhyung.
One guy rushed him with a knife.
Jayhyung didn’t even move fast. He just tilted his head slightly.
CRACK.
One punch. One fall.
Silence.
His voice was cold.
“Next time… send someone worth my time.”
His men lowered their heads.
A rival gang leader shouted, “You think you own this city, Jayhyung?!”
Jayhyung slowly walked forward.
“No,” he said softly. “I don’t think.”
He paused… eyes sharp like ice.
“I know it.”
Another attack came. This time Jayhyung grabbed the man’s collar, slammed him against the wall.
“Power is not about noise,” he said lowly. “It’s about control.”
One last hit.
Everything went silent again.
His PA rushed in.
“Boss… today’s engagement is confirmed. Park Thi and Fanglang.”
For a second… Jayhyung stopped.
His expression didn’t change.
But his eyes… shifted slightly.
“Engagement?” he repeated.
“Yes.”
Jayhyung turned away, wiping blood from his hand.
“None of my business,” he said coldly.
But for some reason… his steps slowed.
And something inside him… felt heavy.
Not anger.
Not interest.
Something closer to… silence.
Park Thi POV (end)
I don’t know why…
But I feel like my life is about to change today.
And I still don’t know… why my heart already belongs to someone I’ve never truly met.
