Episode two
The death of Mr and Mrs Hawthorne, left an imprint that could never be erased in the heart of the younger ones including their son Aiden, who witness the brutal murder of their own.
Days turned to weeks and weeks to months and months to years and the hunger for revenge kept growing immensely in the heart of the lad who is now turning into an adult.
Aiden associated with humans freely without obstruction because the parents were able to tame him.
will this taming stop him from unleashing his power as a werewolf ?
will anyone of the humans be safe when this power is finally unleashed?
we will definitely find out.
Years turned to decades and the activities in the vicinity were normal as if nothing happened many years ago.
Aiden now living amongst the humans was standing over the rooftop watching as people go about their daily routine although his power was tamed, but the beast still lurks inside of him.
Selena cross, on the other hand has turned into a very pretty lady with the aura of greatness all around her. Indeed she's the daughter of a renowned wolf hunter and the richest man in the vicinity. Selena being the only daughter has been looked after like a baby, never allowed to roam the vicinity alone without the guards.
The greatest desire of this damsel was to go see the world but was never allowed to take a step without been followed.
This pattern of living made Selena uncomfortable and this arose some curiosity in her.
why am I not allowed to live the way I want to?
why do I live like a prisoner even though am in my father's house?
This kept her worried and she decided to confront her parents for clarity.
Meeting the father in his room, Selena greeted him with so much honour.
Impressed and at the same time surprised by this pattern of greeting, the father asked;
"What troubles you my darling"?
Selena uncertain on how to present her questions began;
" Father, am no longer comfortable with the way my life is going, am not permitted to explore the world on my own even though I claim to be the daughter of the richest man in my vicinity and for this reason I've come to ask you to tell me why I'm being treated like a prisoner in my own house"?
The father, burst into laughter, the question catching him by surprise, then he spoke;
"My princess, being the head and greatest werewolf hunter in this vicinity is not just a title but a responsibility, If I can't protect my very own from danger then what is my essence of living?
you my daughter, you are a prey waiting to be devoured by the predators the werewolves precisely. I've been in the business of hunting them down for a very long time now and even though it seems like they don't exist anymore, I Know they still lives among us waiting for the perfect time to unleash ".
Still unable to understand were her father was heading to,asked;
“ And what is my business with the so called werewolves? I wasn't the one who hunted them, so why can't I live the way I want because of them?"
The father now unable to condone her ignorance and excessive question spoke with command;
“I'm your father, and I have every right to tell you what to do and what not to do, I won't have you question my orders in this house so therefore you will have to live and abide by my instructions"
Selena now with a teary eyes spoke;
“ I'm old enough to be able to make decisions on my own without the consent of any one, just like you father, I'm very brave and will know what to do when faced with danger, why is everyone treating me like a baby? For goodness sake am no longer a baby, I can handle my affairs."
The father without uttering a word left her in the room to the rooftop to catch some fresh air.
Selena shocked by her father's action couldn't hold back her tears, she cried till there was no more tears to shed then she left to her room and locked herself up.
Selena woke up the next morning to a knock on her door, it was one of a friends Emily.
selena sluggishly went to open the door for her.
“hi pretty ” Emily greeted immediately she entered the room
Selena without response closed the door and went back to the bed.
“Selena, you don't look ok, what's the problem "?
Emily asked.
Selena out of frustration spoke up;
“Emily, i'm tired of this house, I want to go see the world , I want to make more friends, I want to flaunt my beauty, I want to associate freely, why am been restricted, why am been subjected to this house and its day to day boring activities,
Emily tell me, am I asking for too much?
“No no no young lady , you're not asking for much and who is stopping you from going to see the world as you claimed?" Emily replied.
"My parents of course I've tried to make them see reasons but it seems like I'm just playing
everytime , different guards are assigned to come stay around me as if am a prisoner
oh girl, am tired of this kind of life ”
Emily not knowing what to say just cleared her throat and tried comforting her best friend.
“Selena, your parents decision not to allow you leave this house or moving around alone must be for a reason and I believe that the reason must be for your own good.
“Oh! spare that s**t, my own good my foot well thank goodness you're here, I want to ask you for a favour" selene spoke beaming with smile
And what could that be? Emily asked.
well Emily, I want you to help me leave this house even if it's for an hour please
Emily shocked by Selena's request asked;
“How do you intend to achieve this when you know this house as a whole is filled with guards????
if you're willing to help me I've a good plan
but I can't tell you unless you agree to help me.
ok! fin..e I will help you so go on. Emily said out of fear.
That's nice, so my plan is no other than you staying in this room and acting like me.
But how do you intend leaving the house? Emily asked.
From my window. Selena replied.
I've been nursing this plan for sometime now but I've not seen anyone who will stay in this room in my place.
Selena and Emily agreed on the plan and Selena asked Emily not to open the door no matter who comes knocking , she should just sholve them away by feigning anger in place of her.
The damsel planned to leave towards nightfall inorder to avoid any familiar person sighting her
her aim was to just walk round the whole vicinity without any guard to stop her.
At nightfall, Selena left the house through her window by tiring a rope on the sides of the window to aid her on going down.
Selena's plan was successful, she was able to leave the house without the knowledge of anyone expect Emily.
Grinning from ear to ear she walked along the streets feeling like a Dog that was loosed from its chain.
Moving some distance far from her home, she noticed that some people were trailing her, this made her a bit uncomfortable and she decided to walk more faster but the more she walked the more the footsteps sounds. She became afraid and began to run.
