CHAPTER 15 ADRIANNA’S POV I jolted out of bed like a person woken with ice cold water, gasping for breath. Fear gripped me like a vice. My heart thumped as if to burst from my chest, and goosebumps broke out from my skin. Beads of perspiration effortlessly ran down my body. I palmed my chest in an attempt to slow the thumping, breathing out in relief when I realized it was just a dream. But it felt so vivid that I could have sworn it was real.
