ADRIANNA’S POV
Stunned and confused, I wondered why he was letting me go just like that. But I didn’t think too much about it as I went ahead to make the most out of my limited opportunity.
Adrenaline surged through my veins as I got off the bed, overcome with the desperate need to make it out of here—the desperate need to survive.
However, upon reaching the door and jerking the handle to open it, sounds of terror gushed from my throat realizing it wasn’t budging. I jerked the handle harder as if to break it. Maybe I wasn’t jerking hard enough. But it still wasn’t budging.
