ELROY’S POV Tiffany was quite convinced when she spoke “It’s all Reeds fault” she blurted “I..I was doing a dig” she started “Feels like you were stalking her Tiff..” “I know, I know but I’d never stalk that rude b***h” she said I raised a brow at her, giving her a warning glare. “Don’t you dare talk about her like that” I reprimanded her coldly as my blood kept boiling She had no right to talk about the woman I love like she was some sort of stranger. “Why do you always have to take her side like that…you know what…I don’t care” she sighed with a frustrated look on her face. “I did some digging and I found out about something so interesting” she continued. “I’m losing my patience Tiffany” I mumbled so she could hurry whatever she had to say. I mean, Evelyn just walked out in pain and I had already caused her a lot of pain, I wouldn’t want to do that anymore. “The man who tried to kill your sister, poor Chloe, is Evelyn’s lover” she exposed My eyes widened with shock, what on earth could she be talking about? She leaned in closer, her face inches from mine “His name is Melvin Macklin. He’s one jealous lover of her that happened to think you’re dating her” she continued And for a second my heart sunk, she knew about Melvin. “You’ve got to be kidding Tiff” I let out a faint awkward chuckle. “I knew that you’d think it’s bullshit but you have to trust me, please” she squeezed my arm a bit I didn’t understand how she could get such information but first things first, I have to act a full on drama in front of her if I need to know how she got her hands on that. “You promise not to tell a soul” I said and she nodded Not that I could trust her on that “I really don’t want our family to be on the news as much” I explained, she squeezed my hand a little. “I understand my love, I do. We’re in this together” she cooed. **** “I’m so happy you can finally see the light” Tiffany smiled, leaning towards me. I rolled my eyes and walked off, making myself scarce throughout the night and only seeing Chloe only after she had left. The next day at school was more awkward than usual, Evelyn had her face in the textbooks, lecturing and her eyes averted mine completely. that would be a natural response to the attitude I showed yesterday. “Everyone has partners right?” She asked the class to which there was a unified answer, yes. But then someone stumbled walking in, his hair sweaty and tethered “Mr Laurentis, you’re late to class. Again” she called out in a stern voice She was never afraid of any one, not even the high and might Laurentis. one of the highest growing company owners who recently transferred and only showed up twice a week, or at least once. “Sorry miss Red..I mean Reeds” he chuckled, a sly smile on his upper lip. His eyes lingering on Evelyn longer than it’s meant to. “Take a seat” she ignored him completely “Any one who doesn’t have a third partner raise your hand so Laurentis can be a part of your group” she announced and almost immediately the whole class had their hands up in the air, Tiffany included. “I thought everyone had complete partners” she rolled her eyes “Fine Laurentis, you’re with group…” she scanned a paper in her hand “eight” and then a shriek came from Tiffany almost immediately. I turned to him and then to her, she placed him in our group, how great. “The group project covers most evaluation before our field trip this Saturday. So do your best and work well” she said, dismissing the class. For the longest time, I hadn’t done what I had done today. Stare at Evelyn and every interraction she had with everyone instead of focusing but as much as I wanted to tell her the truth, to apologize for my behavior last night, I needed to stay still and find out the truth. “What are you doing this weekend?” Tiffany asked with her pertly pink lipped smile. “Nothing” I answered coldly “We can start the project this weekend” I suggested, shutting my laptop and slipping it into my bag. “Or…” she traced my arm with her fingers, her chests protruding from her V-neck blouse, it made it hard to see anything else and her eyes stared at me with so much sensual intent, anyone could pick up on it a mile away. “We could head to my place and start the project first” she smirked. “No Tiffany, we can’t” I refused “Just give it a rest” “Okay, I will” she turned away. Wow, that’s fast. I really thought she’d persist or something. “I could give it a rest by telling everyone in school about miss Reeds little murder boyfriend” she whispered I felt my blood run cold for just a couple of seconds “Or we could be partying in Malibu” she smiled. I paused for a moment and forced a faint smile on my lips “Partying it is Tiffany, partying it is” I needed to get the truth soon or else I’ll be her f**k puppet.
