Birthday Celebration

Today is my eighteenth birthday. My mother was insistent that I have a small party. I’ve never had a birthday party before, so I don’t know what to expect. They have to keep it quiet because of the West King, with the peace treaty being signed just a few days ago under the impression of me being dead, the news of me actually being alive would cause a war. If a war were to break out, the barrier would fall and the hunters would come rushing in. The main point of this treaty is to prevent that from happening. There are villages that are weaker and less populated than ours, so they will be wiped out. However, from my understanding, the West King is a proud and prideful man. He refuses to be called anything but King. He cares for no one but himself, leaving everyone else around him to suffer
