Claire’s POV Claire and Vladimir stared at each other. “Will you not regret it?” Vladimir said after a while. Claire sighed. Of course, I will, but I don’t want to hurt them more once they realize that you and I are just in a contract marriage. “No,” Claire said and looked down. “I will not.” “Okay.” Vladimir agreed. “If that’s what you want.” With a heavy heart, she turned around and started walking towards their house. He didn’t even stop me and just agreed. “Is that really what you want, Claire?” Claire heard Vladimir shout. She stopped from walking and faced Vladimir. He was five meters away from him. “Hey! Why are you shouting?” Vladimir walked in her direction. “But I want to tell them everything,” Vladimir said while walking towards her. “I want to tell them that we made love—-“ Claire ran towards Vladimir and shut his mouth with her hands. “Why don’t you just tell the world everything we did that night?! Gosh! I didn’t know that you had a very loud voice!” Claire said still keeping his mouth shut. Claire felt a tickle on her palm. She didn’t mind it, but she felt something move! So, she let go of his mouth. She looked at him with a visible expression of disgust on her face. “Why did you remove it? I was still enjoying myself licki—-“ Claire shouted, and that made Vladimir stop from talking. She held his hand and pulled him far away from their house. They stopped on the road between the trees where no one was around. She aggressively let go of his hand and faced him. “As far as I know, we are in front of my house, where my family is residing, and I know that you know that they can hear you! What are you thinking shouting like that, licking my palm like that, and even teasing me like that! Hmmm? Whaaaat! Tell me, Vladimir!” She was really furious, but she saw Vladimir was just staring at her with a teasing expression on his face. “Do you think that this is just a joke? Is my family a joke to you? Am I a joke to you, Vladimir?” Claire said in a low voice. She then looked at their house. After what she said, she decided to walk and leave him be, but Vladimir held her hand and stopped her from leaving. She struggled from his grip, but he didn’t let her be. So, she decided not to look at him. “No,” Vladimir uttered. Claire looked at Vladimir, and she was greeted with his lips. He kissed her fully on her mouth. She gasped, and Vladimir took the opportunity and deepened the kiss. She kept on pushing him, but Vladimir did not let her go. Vladimir slowly leaned her on the tree beside them. He then hugged her and kept kissing her on the lips. He touched her hands and put her hands on his shoulders. Vladimir then let go of her lips and leaned his forehead on her forehead. “No, Claire, I respect your family and you, Claire,” Vladimir said. Claire felt Vladimir’s breath fanning her face. She smelled his breath. It was a mix of mint and something else. She was intoxicated with his breath and so she suddenly kissed him. She didn’t know how to kiss, but she tried moving her tongue towards him. At first, he wasn’t responding, but when she licked his lips, he hungrily kissed her again. She was still leaning on the tree when a woman cleared her throat. She pushed Vladimir away from her. Vladimir slightly let go of her lips and slowly moved one step backward. He’s still being held in his arms. She looks looked at the woman, and so did Vladimir. She then saw a woman. She is inside her convertible red Ferrari while facing them. She’s wearing sunglasses that are bigger than her face. She raised her sunglasses up. “Excuse me, get a room, you two,” The woman commented. She felt that Vladimir’s hug loosened. She looked at the woman in the car, then at Vladimir. She felt that Vladimir tensed before letting her go. Vladimir slowly walked away from her while looking at the woman. She looked at the woman and saw that the woman had put her sunglasses back on, and started her car and drove away. She looked at Vladimir the moment the red car left her sight. She saw the longing in his eyes. Does he know that woman? She was about to ask him when he whispered a name. “Grace,”
