Claire’s POV Grace? The woman she has been waiting and loving for a long time? That, Grace? She looked at him and saw him still looking at the woman even though the car had already left. We just kissed, and now you are looking at another woman. Well, how can I compete with someone who you genuinely love? I am just a woman whom you got pregnant and whom you had a one-night stand with. I'm just nothing compared to her. She turned around and started walking towards her family’s house. I will just let him be and let him think about what he really wants. “Claire, you’re done talking?” Her mom said. She closed the gate and hugged her mom. She sobbed and started crying. “Why? What happened?” Her mom asked. “I just miss you all. I miss you all so much.” She was still crying when she heard Vladimir talk “Why did you leave me there alone, Claire? I thought we had already made up?” Vladimir spoke. She stopped herself from crying. She wiped her tears and exhaled, then faced him. Their eyes met. She was about to cry again, but she stopped herself. “Do you really want to marry me?” Claire courageously asked. She saw him falter for a moment, but he toughened himself and answered. “Yes, Claire, I want to marry you,” Vladimir said while looking straight into her eyes. She just stared at him and waited for him to get back his words. But he didn’t. “Okay, then, let’s get married,” Claire said. “Now,” Claire added. “Now?” she heard her mom commented. She saw Vladimir did not get bothered about what she said and just looked at her. “Okay, then.” Vladimir answered. Vladimir took his phone out of his pocket and started calling someone while still looking straight at her. She did not back down and stared back at him. Two minutes passed, and he put his phone back in his pocket. “Ma’am, Sir, Carla,” Vladimir spoke. “You already gave your blessing before, but I want to ask you again with Claire beside me.” He started walking in her direction. He was now two feet away from her. He looked at Claire, then her family. “Will you give your blessings to our marriage which will happen today?” Vladimir said. Claire was too stunned to speak. She heard her sister, gasped. She looked at her family. She saw her dad smiling, her sister shocked, and her mom in mixed emotions. “Do you really want to marry my daughter?” Her mom asked. She was shocked by her mom’s question. Vladimir looked at her mom. She saw his expression softened. “Yes, Ma’am,” Vladimir answered. She saw him smile towards her mother. Her mother looked at her father. “We already gave you our blessings, and we will not take it back. If you want to get married now, you can get married now.” Her father said. “Always remember to always love, trust and respect each other for your marriage to last a lifetime.” Last a lifetime. I’m sorry, Ma and Pa, but our marriage will only last for three hundred and sixty-five days. We don’t even love each other. Clair smirked. I mean, he doesn’t even love me. She looked at her family. I am very sorry for deceiving all of you. If only I could undo the past, I would do so. She looked at Vladimir, and he was also looking at her. Vladimir closed the gap between them. They are now very near from each other. He looked at her face, then her eyes. “Now that I asked your family’s permission, let’s get married.” She let him see her smirk, and then she answered. “Okay,” She looked at her family. “I’m getting married now.” Claire said. She looked at her family. “Your clothes are good, so let’s go.” “But, sis, I am still wearing---” “That’s okay. You look good.” She cut her sister from talking more. “Let’s go.” She took her mom’s hand and waited for her dad. “Let's wait for a taxi and go straight to the mayor’s office,” Claire said. “Why do you have to ride a taxi? The car is big for the five of us. We all can fit inside.” Vladimir. “Nah. We don’t want to leave a scratch in your car.” “Did you, two, fight?” Her sister asked. She looked at her. “I mean, we can really fit inside his car, so why not just ride it? Or, on second thought, you two get inside the car and will get a taxi and follow you. Bridal car, you know.” Her sister, Carla, said. She looked at her sister fiercely. She saw Carla lowered her gaze and stopped from talking. “No need for you to ride a taxi, another car is coming you can ride it, Ma’am, Sir, and Carla. Then, Claire and I will ride the car we used a while ago.” Vladimir spoke after a while. “Claire and I will go first. We will just prepare for our marriage. We will all see you later.” “No need to prepare. I am okay with my clothes.” Claire said. Claire is currently wearing a three-button white blouse tucked inside her denim pants and paired with white step-in. Her family looked at her from head to toe. “Don’t look at me like that. I’m just excited to get married,” “But, you always wanted to get married in a church, wearing an elegant and beautiful white dress. While your future husband is---” Her sister spoke again. “Nah. Before, but now, I just want a simple one.” She looked at herself. “And this outfit will do.” “If that’s what you want, then I will let you be,” Vladimir said seriously. She looked at him. “Yes, that’s what I want.”
