After Sophia and the maids left, Commander Duke came to see me. He knew better than to wish me a happy birthday so he just greeted me and went straight to the point.
"I have a special surprise for you." He said and I raised an eyebrow at him.
Special surprise for me? I liked the sound of that. I didn't need to be told to follow Commander Duke.
"I guess, this is where we would end our discussion." I said to Kari as I stood up.
"Of course, your Highness." Kari replied as he stood up and bowed and I went away with Commander Duke to the dungeon.
"I hope the special surprise is worth disturbing my conversation with Kari?" I asked Duke and he smirked.
"It is your Highness." Duke reassured me.
And that was the only reassurance I needed to keep
