I stirred and strong arms tightened around me.
I smiled, sure this was a dream. Because it had been a long time since I had felt this complete, this satisfied, this safe. In fact, I thought I never had. I turned slightly, getting closer to Kane and burying my face in his neck. I inhaled his scent, loving how it made me feel.
“Did you sleep well?” Kane asked, his voice gruff.
I chuckled against his skin. “Did I sleep? I thought we had been busy.”
He pressed a soft kiss on the top of my head. “Oh, that too. But you actually slept for about six hours.”
