Guion's Boasts

1714 Words
Xin Holder Viscus, together with Balel and General Balfor, and the Knights along the Sankt Vessel users, stood tall and firm as they meet the Soldiers of Guion. They were able to meet in one of the middle portion of two hills—forming a valley—which is in the land of the Kingdom of Agnosbaddt. There were four front-liners in the troop of Guion Kingdom. Two are cold-eyed men, two are boisterous-smirking women. The land is filled with shining weapons and armors from the soldiers. Yet, later on, everyone knew that most of these shining armors would be covered with blood. The armor that soldiers of Guion wears, are silvered color. It was flashy. For the Kingdom of Agnosbadtt, however, they were wearing white shining armor. They were elegant and sophisticated. Yet, from the perspective of a spectator, those armors bore confidence and extreme skills compared to their opponents. As they meet in the middle, an eerie silence swirled and circled across the battle field. They are trying to read the tone of the whole situation. An eye to eye contact has been made by the front-lined men of Guion towards the front-liners of the Kingdom of Agnosbadtt. And it seems that they have no intention of backing out from the mess that they were about to do. Who would, if they realize that the troops that was sent by the Agnosbadtt is only half of the troops that they had? They must have thought that they have a chance. “My, how pesky insects can be, these days,” General Balfor now started talking. He is starting what he had promised to Holder: to mock the Kingdom of Guion. “The General of the Agnosbadtt, it was an honor to meet you.” One of the front-liner replied from the General. He is a man with chinky eyes, a long silken hair, a slightly pale yet dazzling skin tone, and a cold stare. His thin, pinkish lips were not smiling, but he looks attractive. Plus the fact that he was riding a black-colored horse. “General Wu, it is nice meeting you as well,” General Balfor said. The General of the opposing troops has nodded towards him. “I heard a lot about you in our Kingdom.” “And I am exactly sure that those were horrible representations of me.” General Wu nodded. “I did not expect you to be human. One says that you’re an ape,” he said. The soldiers of Guion, which is behind General Wu, started to laugh. But their General’s face remained stoic. “Well, as for your case, I am impressed, my expectation was met,” said General Balfor. The laughs of the Soldiers of Guion were ceased by a simple gesture of the General’s hand. “Would you mind if you tell us what were your expectations to us?” asked the opponent’s General. “Insects,” answered General Balfor. He added, “Pests. Something that irritates our eyes when seeing.” The sound of the unsheathed sword clung through the air. It was made by the soldiers of Guion. The Soldiers of Agnosbaddt unsheathed their swords as well. Some stomped their huge lances on the ash-rocken ground. “General Balfor, it seemed that you are running out of supplies of Soldiers. Look on your troops. Only a hundred of five,” said a woman with a boisterous smile. Her hands were always placed at her hips. She has saw-like, white sharp teeth, an ear above her head, resembling a cat. Holder won’t believe that the ears were real. But she too has tails (in the color of tigers), paws instead of hands, and on her cheeks, white remarkable whiskers were too seen. “They must have been not good in the concept of mathematics. How poor this country was,” said the other woman. She was wearing a long dress with over-sized sleeves in which she serves as a cover for half of her face—from mouth, up to her nose. That made her eyes be the most notable feature for her. As Holder saw it, he admitted that the eyes of the woman were indeed beautiful. She was also holding a peculiar red umbrella made of thin, paper like sheet, and a bamboo for the handle. “And you must not be good in the concept of strategy,” said the General. Holder looked at Balel. When Balel noticed it, he asked why. Holder neared towards the ears of the A-classed soldier, and then whispered, “I think in the game of mocking, General Balfor is about to lose.” Balel laughed lowly. He then whispered back. “That is because Papa has no sense of humor. I am sure that he would lose the ‘pre-mocking stage’, as what he described, of this war. But know that we could successfully mock the Kingdom of Guion after this battle. we would slap them with our powers. At the end, the last laugh will be ours.” “That’s quite promising,” Holder said, and then smirked. “General Balfor.” The other man in the front line talked. He is looking towards Holder and Balel. “May I ask what those two young, and seemingly inexperienced lads beside you are talking and laughing about?” The man who asked was somehow identical to the General Wu. Holder did not instantly noticed, but he saw their similarities when he started talking—and even asked what he and Balel were doing. General Wu was wearing a royal blue clothing, while the man who asked about them was wearing a crimson orange cloth, similar of the color of a resting sun. Just like General Wu, he is riding a horse as well, but snow in its color. “Ah, I almost forgot, I am facing the Twin Dragon Generals of Guion. And also, the Nymph Mysthresses of the Kingdom.” General Balfor said, recognizing the four of the front-liners. “I had asked you a question, stupid General. Would you answer it?” the man in orange cloth asked. “No, he doesn’t have to,” said Holder, interrupting the conversation. “We were just talking what kinds of pest were you, if we’re to make serious of what General Balfor impresses you to be.” The soldiers of behind Holder started laughing. Even Balel and half of the Knights and the Sankt Vessel users. General Balfor smiled and gave Holder a complimenting look. “That is interesting,” said the General Wu in orange clothing. “You are giving me a huge lust to kill you. Along with the man you’re talking with.” “That we wouldn’t be retreating off,” Holder confidently said. “Oh, do we have to choose whom to fight?” the woman with a long dress and an umbrella, said. “Choose whoever you want, Jiso. They were all just weaklings,” said General Wu (of the blue clothing). “Then I would choose that pretty girl over there with a seemingly transparent dress and golden accessories. I think I could get those sparkles in her body. Also, I want that cute guy who is wearing a snake scarf.” Holder recognized who was she pertaining to. Lalaine and Lucio, his allies as a Sankt Vessel user. “Mine would be that old woman who looked like a member of a cult, and that child over there who is hugging a doll. I love pulping children and weak aged women. But hey, why are they participating in this war? Are you seriously having a shortage of power? Hah! If that then, we wouldn’t need the alliance of Xaphan and Fashan anymore!” exclaimed the cat woman. “I and Baba Karma accepts your challenge, Ms. Cat Woman.” Channie was bold. She stood in the front, with no fear, and staring directly at the cat woman. Upon seeing, everyone from the Agnosbadtt was proud with what Channie did. “Interesting. A kid of charm and courage. But do you have powers?” asked the cat Woman, smiling. Yet, in her face, the look of annoyance was starting to form. “Miss Cat Woman, Agnosbadtt is not powerful for no reason. I and Baba Karma is one of the reason,” Channie wittingly told. “If that then, have a good fight,” said General Wu (of blue clothing). “As for me, I would like to kill General Balfor.” “Oh, you should have chosen me.” A voice behind the line of Agnosbadtt’s soldier had appeared. Everyone looked to the new person who arrived. She was walking confidently. Her eyeglasses were tucked and fitted. The hem of her white lab coat was fluttering along with the wind. And a huge type of sword was placed on her back, waiting to be unsheathed. Professor Zen. From the professor, Holder looked back to General Wu to see his reaction. The stoic expression on his face was changed. It was now filled with shock and terror—and extreme awkwardness as his cheeks flushed in red shade. “Here we go, the thing I mostly doesn’t want to happen, blabla,” said the cat woman. She even rolled her eyes in irritation. “Star-crossed lovers turned enemies. What a tragic story theirs has,” dramatically narrated by Jiso. She even pretended to wipe the non-existing tears glittering on her eyes. “Z—Zen,” said General Wu, shocked and with face of panic. “Why are you here in a battle field? You shouldn’t be here! You must go on a safe place!” “And the General still cares at the b***h,” said the cat woman. Holder asked to himself if he was missing something in the event. But filling with the contexts, he concludes that perhaps, that handsome general of the opposing Kingdom was once… Professor Zen’s lover? “Nice meeting you again, my once upon a time,” said Professor Zen with a smirk. She then grabbed a bottle of liquor placed at the pouches of where a huge sword on her back was still sheathed. Oh, what an interesting, twisted fight this would be, thought Holder.
