Matt had waited around on the police for over three weeks. They had turned up no leads and still didn’t have a single clue as to what demolished the car. The sheriff had sent a wrecker truck to haul Tammy’s car to a garage so the forensic team could scour over it more in hopes that they could find even one elusive detail that might lead them to Tammy. Well into the fourth week after Tammy’s disappearance, Matt had spoken to all her old contacts and her known family members—no matter how distant the relation.
