The first meeting
Meera Mohamed often thought that a film or a story should be made about her life.
It probably wouldn’t be a romance.
No.
Her story would be full of tragedies, and it probably won’t even have a happy ending.
An exasperated sigh escaped her lips as she turned around in her bed, tired of trying to will herself to fall asleep.
The medication she took usually helped her to sleep.Although some nights she had difficulty trying to fall asleep even with the medication.
Meera knew all too well what was in store for her tonight.
She could feel the light tremble in her fingers.
She had been trying to distract herself from it hoping that it will subside.
“Hopeless wishes” she couldn’t help but scoff at the stupidity of her own thoughts.
She stood up trying to shake off the icy cold fear that was creeping up her body enveloping her in it.She couldn’t help but back into a corner trying to escape the pain.
As always she tried to scream, cry for help
But no sound escaped her
She was helpless, her body betraying her refusing to breathe, to call for help. She clutched her head as if to try and stop the millions of memories that were emerging.
It felt like her mind was going to explode.
Like she was going crazy.
Before she knew it she was on the floor.her lungs constricting painfully due to the lack of oxygen.
She closed her eyes wishing she would fall unconscious or die.
Anything was better than this.
The world got darker as she squinted her eyes trying to squeeze out the memories, the feelings that were trying to break to the surface.
A lone tear fell from her eyes, before the thin tread holding everything together in her mind snapped.
Her heart screamed in agony as if it was being torn apart.
“No,no,no,please I can’t
not anymore, please don’t , I can’t, no”
“D-d d don’t, i-i- ii i ccant”
No one heard her begging “NOOOOOOOOOOO”
The sound of her soul clenching shriek echoed inside the room
Flashback
She stared at him, speechless.
For the first time in her life she was at loss for words.
This handsome stranger, who’s name she just barely knew had rendered her a stammering i***t,
With just only one question.
“Will you be my girlfriend?”
“It’s okay, you can give your answer later” his gentle voice snapped her back to reality.
He smiled at her warmly before riding off on his bicycle.
She watched him until he left her sight.
Shiam was a guy she just met. She had barely had a conversation with the guy.The thought of dating anyone not to mention him didn’t even come to her mind.
Sure like any sane girl, she found all six foot four inches of shiam handsome. He was drop dead gorgeous, with curly black hair, almond shaped eyes framed with long black lashes, and the most perfect lips.
And his arms, oh his arms were just the right amount of muscular with bluish veins running down them.
But unlike the normal teenager, she had rules and one those rules were strict no dating until she completed her studies.
Even if this guy did get her heart beating.
She will not go against her parents.
“ tell him no”
“if he asks why tell him I will only date when I finish school.” Meera instructed her sister.
“I like you” she couldn’t help but smile as his confession came to mind.
