Max...      Max was getting worried about Dom. It has been an hour and no one has returned his calls to inform him of why the line had gone dead in the middle of a business meeting. Max decided to busy himself with work. He had received an email from a contact in Brussels that Magie, the witch Dimitri had suggested the find to figure out the validity and meaning behind the rogues rambling, was currently on a retreat in the Camin Island. My contact I formed me was a retreat she and her coven attend once every five years to recharge their powers and connections with their gods and goddesses deep in the wilderness.       Magie was due back in Brussels sometime next week and was scheduled to attend a wit he's ball in the heart of Brussels. I left him with my contact information for her to return my call ASAP. Max thought better of flying off to the Camin Islands to retrieve her, especially since they needed her witch expertise in this matter. He didn't say why he needed her just that it was a matter of grave importance.       Skimming through the reports he was faxed, Max noticed something particularly interesting about one of the rogues descriptions and photos. He had a recent moon tattooed under his left eye and a jagged scar running through the middle of it. About 5 years ago there was an attack on a German pack and one of the rogues they had captured managed to escape killing three wolves and two children in the process.       Max retrieved his father's leather 100-year-old journal and looked up their contact information, to discuss the rogue currently being held in L.A. Once Dominic was able to locate the German pack's contact list, Max dialed their number.       "Hello, this is Max. Alpha of the New York Blood Moon pack I'm looking to speak with your alpha about a shared associate of ours. I found your contact information In our previous alphas journal. Apparently, he had reached out last year after a rogue attack" spoke Max hesitantly unsure as if whom he was speaking with.       "This is he. Alpha Fynn" Fynn replied in a curious tone. "Which associate are you speaking of" Fynn questioned Max's earlier words.      "We don't have a name but we have a description. Rogue unknown origin. 6'2 with a crescent moon tattoo below his left eye with a jagged scar running through it. He is currently captured in L.A by our brother's blood moon pack, after a recent attack on their compound. He was injured and easily captured and not speaking about their reasons for the attack, however, one of his friends we also apprehended is a little looser with his tongue, so to speak" Max paused waiting for confirmation the rogue they had captured was indeed the same they had captured a year ago before his escape.       Fynn stayed silent on the other end of the line for what seemed like 20 agonizing minutes but was, in fact, a mere minute or two. "Hello, Max!" Fynn started, "I just pulled up the files and can confirm they are one and the same" Fynn stopped awaiting for Max to continue.     "Can you tell me if you were able to extract any information at the time and how he was able to escape?" Max asked.      "He did not speak. If you check in his mouth after our first interrogation he had found a way to cut out his own tongue, so he wasn't much use to use after that and neither were the other rogues we captured for questioning." Fynn paused, as he reviewed the file that they had kept on the incident. "In regards to his escape, he had a man on the inside. A traitor in our midst that helped him escape. It seems they attacked shortly after one of our scouts had discovered scent trails leading to an abandoned campsite a few miles away from our borders." Fynn stopped mid-sentence, clearly distracted by something in their end.       "Thank you, Fynn for your help. I suggest hon spread the word and put everyone on high alert I can fax you all the information we currently have about the situation. Apparently, a group of rogues have been plotting in secret to dismantle the blood moon packs as a tribute to their leader the Blood Moon Prince. As legend goes the blood moon king was next in line for the throne and the prince was not happy. Years later he was exiled for insubordination and became a rogue. In secret, he plotted to kill his brother so the throne could be his. When he failed to kill him he went into hiding and hasn't been heard or seen of in any legends after this."                Max paused before continuing "it seems that they have been strategically killing off met players to our five packs and allies. They were searching and might still be looking for a girl from the prophecy with a birthmark on her rib that resembles the blood moon king sigil. They have been hunting the girl from the prophecy as they discovered 28 years ago that she was born. They are sticking because in her 29th birthday she will be reborn and lead an army foreseen to destroy them" Max stopped allowing Fynn to digest the news.       "Well, " Fyn responded before continuing. "If could send over everything you have on the situation, it would be greatly appreciated. I can send you everything we have as well." Flynn paused taking a breath. "It's ironic, the three kids that were murdered during the attack had strange birthmarks which resembled a crown-like figure." Flynn stopped unsure of what else to say about the situation.       "It is possible that their inside man could have passed on the information. The only way he could have had access to that information as if he was on the medical team or had regular interactions with the kids who were murdered" max paused "it could be the very reason they attacked in the first place, I'm thinking he might have allowed himself to be captured when getting to them during the attack wasn't possible" Max stopped. "What do you think is the theory plausible?" Max continued.         After a few short minutes, Flynn responded "it is plausible. If that's the case I would send word to the pack currently holding him, to be prepared for a second attack should he decided to break out" Max's heart began to pound and his wolf was getting anxious to be let out especially with the thought of his beta and innocent children in danger. After exchanging fax numbers Max dialed his Beta to inform him of the additional news.        "Be alert and be vigilant" Max spoke into the phone using his Alpha tone after he caught his bets up on the news he had just received from Fynn.        "You got it Alpha," Trevor said before ending the call to let Dimitri know about the updated information.         Once Max got off the phone his fax machine started to buzz. After a few minutes of pages printing, Max retrieved Dimitris's fax number off file and faxed him all the info he received from Fynn. After Alerting his bets to inform Dimitri of the incoming fax Max proceeded to fax over all the information that he had on hand about the situation. Max only prayed that when and if this rogue decided to make his exit that they would have it covered. Monday morning couldn't come any faster. At least the Max might be able to get a hold of Magie when she returned to Brussels.         Taking a step back from his desk and the chaos of papers, which laid screen across his desk and floor. Max decided to take his wolf for a run. There was a small creek that his wolf liked to sprawl out near and drink the fresh water. Max thought they could both use a break before digging into the paperwork and planning a trip back to the bar to finish the details. Before Max headed for the bush he called his workers to hire some extra hands as his we're tied up with the rogue situation.        "I'm going to swing by later on this afternoon with some of my associates to check on progress and lend a hand. This project scheduled to be finished by Friday. All that is left are a few minor details and cleanup. The rest of the kitchen order and alcohol is scheduled to be their tomorrow afternoon and I need someone to be there, as I will be attending a funeral" Max proceeded to inform his contractor.       "Sure thing boss I'll give Sully a shout get some more guys out here today" the contractor replied.        "I'll see you later on today" Max responded before hanging up the phone.         Max walked over to the bar fridge in the office and grabbed a cold water bottle from the fridge and proceeded to down the whole bottle. All of the excitement this morning had made him thirsty. Thirstier than he had previously assumed he was. Shaking off his thoughts max ran to the tree line where he stripped out of clothes and left them covered in the surrounding brush.         Chase, you ready to blow off some steam. I know I am. I was thinking about a trip to the creek for some much-needed downtime. Max thought to his wolf.          I'm way ahead of you! Lefts blow this popsicle stand. Max's wolf responded to him causing Max to chuckle slightly.           The one thing Chase had adapted to over the years after they first met on his 16th birthday was those awful one-liners, but they did always seem to lighten Max's spirit somehow.
