Eva...
Eva walked through the grocery store browsing through the meat section. Eva had forgotten to make a list early when she left the house because she had been so distracted by her foster mother's call and what she had said on the phone. I have something to discuss with you, but it can wait till I see you. Eva couldn't figure out what her mother wanted to talk about.
Eva tried to block out her thought and try to focus on the task at hand, figuring out what the hell she was going to buy for this weekend for Jennifer and herself. Not paying attention to her surroundings Eva mindlessly wandered around the corner into the frozen section. As Eva rounded the corner she rammed her cart right into the backside of a burly looking man.
"Omg! I'm so sorry!" Eva quickly apologized while trying to move her cart away from the man and out of his way.
The man turned to face Eva with a smirk on his face. "It's okay! If it's any consolation I did pick an awkward section of the aisle to park while I browse" the man replied with a grin that reached either side of his face.
The man had piercing blue eyes that looked like something from a sci-fi movie. With broad shoulders and a slim waist, Eva couldn't stop her eyes from traveling lower and lower to examine his manhood nestled inside his tight jeans. They seemed to hug him like a fitted glove only to make her breath quicken as thoughts of getting rammed from behind by him right here in this aisle flooded her mind.
The man let a small chuckle escape his lips. "Enjoying the view?" Eva blushed and began to stammer as she attempted to come up with a quick reply but fell short. Eva's only fault that she hated was when men catch her off guard sexually.
If she was in a bar she could handle herself because a little flirting with some drunk meaningless s*x was good for the soul, but they were in the middle of the grocery store. This was one of the last places to pick up a man for hot, steaming, meaningless s*x.
The man pulled a card from his pocket and handed it to Eva. Eva grabbed the card. "Dominic Stern" she spoke out loud.
"In case you're in the mood for a night out on the town or some coffee" He grinned exposing pearly white teeth and massively sharp canines, that sent shivers down her spine.
"I'll keep it in mind Dominic" she responded while trying to keep her libido in check.
Dominic turned to leave before abruptly stopping and turned to face her "I forgot to ask you your name," he asked with innocent curiosity in his eyes.
"Eva" she responded.
"While Eva, I hope you decided to give me a call" He spoke before finally turning to leave.
Leaving Eva standing alone in the aisle Eva tried to figure out what the hell had just happened. Eva placed is a card inside the zipper pocket of her purse. Looking for her water bottle Eva noticed that she had packed her black notepad and a pen. Opening the note pad she noticed they she had started to note down ideas for meals and snacks, ones that we're on her and Jennifer list of top 10 foods. Eva turned to a black page and made a note in the corners of what she knew was in the house, which wasn't much.
After spending about ten minutes making a list Eva made her way through the grocery store collecting the ingredients while gathering some other stuff she enjoyed which happened to be on sale. After about an hour of shopping and 200$ later Eva was finally leaving the grocery store to load her groceries into the back of her jeep.
Making her way home, Eva crossed over the bridge. She had decided to do her shopping in New York because curiosity had gotten the better of her when Jennifer had mentioned on the phone that a new club was opening up downtown on the water overlooking Manhattan Island. The place still looked like a construction zone and was scheduled to open on Saturday. Whoever had undertaken that project was either naive or optimistic about the opening date.
Eva rolled down the driver side window as she was passing by the soon to be opened bar. As she did her nose was flooded with the sweet smells of pine, vanilla, and lilacs. It washed over her in waves creating a heat in her belly, which made her cheeks breakout in heat as well. Eva peered through her tinted windows and seen three men entering the building from the front.
One was tall about 6'3 with ash blonde hair. He had a scar on his right check that Eva almost didn't notice. The other two men had to have been close to 6' tall both with brown hair. The one that stood out to her the most was one of the brown-haired wore workman boots. The other two had on brown loafer, but they were slightly casually dressed. They must be business guys. Maybe they were there for an inspection, which would mean the other either owns the club opening their or he's one of the site managers. Eva thought to herself as she continued on past the bar, heading for home.
When Eva got home she unloaded her groceries and began to unload her groceries into the proper cabinets. Just as Eva was finishing up she heard her cell phone beep. Walking towards the dining room table Eva reached into her purse and retrieved her cell phone. Looking down at her phone she noticed that she had received a text message from Jennifer informing her that she just landed in New York. Eva smiled to herself and set her phone aside. And so the party begins. Eva thought to herself.
