Chapter 3

1094 Words
As I drag myself on the floor all the way to the place I ran from. All I can think of is, is this real? Or is it just some weird dream I’m having, because my brain can’t seem to get around the fact that I am here, but this is happening deep down I know this is real I just don’t want to accept it.  “Get up.” He orders.  “I can’t. You burned my f*****g feet remember?”  “Your feet are fine. Get up.” he orders again. I prepare myself to literally yell at him that I can’t get up because my feet hurt too bad, but I notice that they don’t actually hurt anymore, I try to get up and I do so successfully. No pain, nothing.  What the heck?  “I am the one who burned your feet. So I just healed them again.“  “All this time you could have made the pain go away, but you decided to let me drag myself all the way here, you are such a bastard.“ “Do not, ever, try to run away again. Because I will find you, and you won’t like it then.“ He opens the door for me to get back inside the room we were once in. Just feels so weird, being here again after I thought I would never see this place again in my life. I was wrong. Maybe he’s right, maybe I’m never going to escape.  “Dakota, we have a deal, come on you can’t just go around and break it. I brought your brother back to life in exchange for your soul. I told you this before and I’ll say it again. If you want your life back, and this is the last time I’m gonna give you this choice, say that you want me to take your brother’s life in order to give you your soul and your human life again. Just say the words, your brother will be back to the world of the dead and you will be back in the world of living. Just like it was supposed to be in the first place.” He says staring right into my eyes.  “I don’t want my brother to die. I didn’t want that to happen then and I sure as hell don’t want it to happen now. I promise I will never try to escape again. You have my word.”  “Good, now go and change your clothes. You’re all dirty.”  “I wonder who’s fault that is. Since you’re the one who let me drag myself all the way here when you could’ve just let me walk again.”  “I’m the devil. I don’t do good.”                                            ********************************************************* I walk into the bathroom and get undressed. I start the water and jump inside the shower. “Are you showering!” I hear him yell from outside the bathroom door. “I told you to change your clothes not shower.” “You fuckin burned my feet and made me crawl for 40 miles, I deserve a shower go away.”  “f**k this.” I hear him say as he walks away. I need to relax and just think about what I’m supposed to do with this situation I’m in. This is f****d up yes, but come on. What am I supposed to do. I have to respect him or at least try to act like I do cause I sure as hell don’t want him hurting me again. I just have to be good and do as he says. I finish my shower and as I walk outside with my towel wrapped around me, I notice he’s not in the room anymore. He left me some clothes on the bed. The f**k. This is a gown. There’s a note. ‘Wear it. You don’t wanna be late for work.’  Work? Wearing this? Oh what the hell. I slip on the gown and put my hair in a bun. A messy one indeed. Now what? The door opens and I notice a young woman standing there. Forget about the young woman part this is a teenager, barely 15.  “Miss I’m here to take you to the room you’ll be working in.” Oh God. I let out a sight and follow the girl. We reach a room and she signals me to enter as she opens the door. It’s not just a normal room, this is an entire house. I’ve never seen anything so beautiful in my life. Everything is velvet red. The windows are draped in a thin sheet of red silk. The floor is covered with soft rugs. I feel like I’m floating on a cloud when I walk on them.  The door closes behind me. “You like It here don’t you?” A man’s voice rings through the room. “Come here. I won’t bite.” He says. “Where are you?” I ask. “I’m here hot stuff.” He says as he appears on the sofa out of nowhere. And hot stuff? Really? “Come sit next to me.” he says pointing at the empty spot on the couch. “I don’t want to.”  “Well you have to if you want to do your job right. Or else I might have to punish you.”  “My job isn’t to sit next to you.”  “Your job is to look nice and do whatever I say.”  “I won’t do s**t for you.” I run to the door and try to open it but it doesn’t open. s**t. Please just open. “It’s locked. You’re not going anywhere.” I turn around and he’s standing right in front of me. His chest is barely touching mine. I can feel his breath of my face. “You’re mine for the night honey. You won’t be going anywhere anytime soon understand?”
