Chapter 2

841 Words
I walk out the room door and instantly start walking as fast as I can just sprinting across the hallway. There are so many doors what the actual f**k. How am I supposed to find the exit. I look to the left and there it is, a door with an exit sign on top of it. I’m so fuckin stupid. I run to the door and push it open. The light outside almost blinds me. As my eyes adjust to the light, I try taking small steps forward. It’s as if the floor is wet? It isn’t raining though. Seems like it rained before. As my eyes finally adjust to the light, I notice something in front of me, is this a statue? My eyes are still blurred from the light. I start rubbing my eyes hoping that’s help. I can finally see. Thank God. I start walking closer to what appears to be a statue of a man. It’s facing the other way though. So I walk around it. Wait, this seems so real. I literally crawl out of my skin when it blinked. The f*****g statue just blinked at me. I jump backwards and keep walking away from it until my back hits a wall. I look down trying to catch my breath, and that’s when I notice it. It’s not water that’s on the floor. it’s blood. The floor is entirely red. I almost faint. I can’t faint. I need to get out of here as fast as I can. This can't be real. This just can't be real life. I must be hallucinating. I am, I am hallucinating aren’t I ? I walk away from the wall and just start running into the open space. I don’t know where the heck I'm going but at least I’m going further away from whatever is going on back there. Whatever freak show that was. ********************************************************** I reach a forest of some kind and well at least the floor is not covered with blood anymore. I glance a small cabin so I decide knock on the door and hopefully there’s someone that can help me inside. The door opens and an elderly lady stands In front of me. “Can I help you?” She asks. “I’m lost.” I lie. “can I come in?” “of course dear.” I walk inside, the house seems pretty normal to me. There’s an old tv, a radio and some pretty worn out couches. “So tell me, why are you really here?”   “I ran away from a crazy person claiming to be the devil.” “Oh is that so? Well the world is full of crazy people dear.” You got that right. I think to myself. “Wait here and get comfortable while I make us some tea.” I sit on the couch and wait for what seems like a long time. What kind of tea is she making. As I get up to go see why she’s taking so long, I hear a knock at the door.   The lady appears from the kitchen and opens the door. “Hello Dakota.” It’s him. Oh no. “Thank you for calling me Mrs.” He says looking at the old lady. “You called him!” I shout. “Well honey, one does not simply run away from the devil. You can’t run away.” She says while smiling at me. That was the most unsettling smile I’ve ever seen. “You’re coming with me.” he orders as he takes my arm and leads me out the door. I'm not going anywhere with you. I shake his grip off. "Dakota don't make this any worse than it already is. I can hurt you in ways you can never imagine." he threatens. "Well then be my guest. Hurt me. I don't give a shit." He looks my way and stares at my feet. I start feeling a burning sensation. It's getting worse by the second. He's burning my feet. I fall on the ground and start screaming in pain. "Stop! I beg you, stop." I cry out. "From now on,you will do as I say. For I am the devil and no one, NO one defies me, do you understand?" "Yes. Yes I understand. Just please. stop."  He finally stops. But I can't even stand up. I'm in so much pain. I notice him coming closer and kneeling down to pick me up. "Don't touch me." I blurt out. "Don't lay a hand on me." "Don't be stupid, you can't walk." "I'd rather drag myself all the way there than have you touch me." "As you wish." he grins "I shall see you dragging yourself all the way over there then."
