"Believe me, I wasn't the one who killed her!" I yelled my voice filled with frustration as tears rolled down my face.
"Damian, you killed your mate just for the sake of acquiring powers, how do you want to defend against that?" A voice rang in my head sending shivers down my spine.
"I said I didn't kill her!" I yelled as tears flowed down my face.
Why would I kill my mate? I loved her very much and she also loved me, I was powerful and I didn't need more powers.
I was satisfied with the strength I had, I wasn't power hungry so I didn't seek out more power. Besides, why would I kill my mate just because I wanted more power?
