Moonbound Betrayal

EMBER'S POV "I Alpha Asher Silverwood rejects you, Ember Collins, as my mate." Alpha Asher's voice boomed in my ears much to my shock. At that moment, I felt as though something in me snapped as an electric bolt passed through my body. I was weak and powerless to say anything. The only thing that came out of my face was tears. "Guards!" Alpha Asher yelled. Immediately, footsteps were heard as the guards rushed into the room. "Throw her into the dungeon," Alpha Asher ordered, pointing at me. "But..but what... have I done..." I shuttered as tears flowed down my face, unable to do anything. "Get this thing out of my face," Alpha Asher barked and immediately the guards dragged me roughly out of the room. The next thing I knew was that I was thrown roughly onto the floor and looked into the deepest part of the dungeon. But then I could care less about it at this moment. I was still trying to process all that had happened. Alpha Asher had rejected me right after he found out that I was his mate and I was still broken. But then he had ordered the guards to throw me into the dungeon. On what basis? I was already used to his inhumane ways of torturing so it wasn't much of a shock. But then I was in pain. The bruises and injuries on my body were the most evident thing. I felt as if a thousand needles were piercing through my heart, tears flowed non-stop from my face as I was too weak to stand from the position I was in. For a moment, I thought I was going to die as the pain was just too unbearable, coupled with the unknown carnivorous insect in the dungeon gnawing away at my skin in the dark, it would have been the best if I had died. But then death was a luxury I couldn't afford, I still had to stay alive. There were a lot of things I needed to do. But then was it possible? With the darkness trying to take me away coupled with the fact that I couldn't resist its strong pull, I was soon pulled into the work of darkness after much struggle. ----- "Wake up b***h!" A voice boomed in my ear as pain cruised through my body due to the fact that my hair was grabbed roughly. I didn't know how long I had slept nor did I want to know, the pain in my body made me forget everything. "Argh!!" I screamed out in pain as the pain of waking up in such a manner was just too inhumane. "Shut the hell!" The voice came again and the next thing I knew was that I was sent flying. I couldn't help but groan out in pain. At this moment, I was just too weak and there was nothing I could do about it. "Tie her up, it's time for her judgment." The voice came again. Before I could move or do anything, I was tied up and led outside the dungeon. At that moment, I couldn't think about anything else at the moment, all my thoughts were on what I did wrong for me to deserve a judgment. Soon we were out of the dungeon, but because I had been inside the dungeon for a long time, I had to close my eyes, but then I had to quickly open it as I was hit by a rock. "She should be condemned to death!" "Yeah, she's a traitor and deserves to die!" "Who knows if she'll sell out the others in the pack!" Voices of the pack's members drifted into my ears as rocks and other things were thrown at me while they cursed. Soon I was covered in blood, but then surprisingly, I wasn't feeling any pain, it seemed like I was numb to the pain and I had already accepted my fate at the moment. "Silence!" A familiar voice boomed and immediately the crowd quieted down. "Ember Collins had committed a great crime of treason and thus is condemned to death." Alpha Asher began as he stared at me with a smirk on his face. "As such she'll be thrown down the cliff of Etretat." Immediately, the crowd went pale hearing Alpha Asher's words and I shuddered. Who didn't know of the cliff of Etretat? No one who was thrown down the cliff had ever survived. It seemed like I was going to die. "Take her away." Alpha Asher continued waving his hands to the guards signaling them to carry out the deed. "Let's go traitor," One of the guards sneered and kicked me. I couldn't help it and fell flat face to the floor. "b***h, get up." The guard growled and grabbed my hair, raising me before sending me stumbling with another slap. After a lot of struggles, I was able to stand up, but then I was already beaten blue-black by the merciless guard. In no time we got to the Cliff of Etretat. The Cliff was over a hundred feet and I knew what awaited me was nothing but death once I was thrown down. "It's a pity that you'll die here." One one the guards chuckled just as we got to the edge of the cliff. "What do you say about having some amusement?" One of the guards smiled as he faced the other. "That'll be a nice idea, she's about to die anyway." The others grinned as they approached me. I shuddered hearing their words as I knew what they were planning. They were going to violate me before they sent me down to my death. I would prefer dying a hundred times than being violated by the men. But then I was powerless, I was tied up so there was no way I was going to resist. At that moment, my mind which was asleep suddenly sprang into action as I started thinking about what to do. "Let's be done with this, untie her quickly, and let's do what we'll do, don't forget the Alpha's waiting for us." One of the guards urged the other. "Fine." He muttered as he proceeded to untie me. My heart raced as I watched him untie me, I knew I had to do something once I was untitled or else I was going to be violated. Running wasn't an option as there was nowhere to run to. The only thing I could do was to jump to my death, but would the guards allow me to jump? Soon, the guard untied me and then proceeded to remove the thin layer of clothing on my body. At that moment, I mustered all the strength in my body and kicked him in between his legs. "Argh, b***h!" The guard fell to the floor as he cursed with his eyes red. "How dare you hit me." He raged as he stood up before I could even think of turning around to jump to my death. Grabbing my hair, he sent me flying with a slap. "Since you want to die so badly, I'll send you to your death." He continued as he dragged me towards the edge of the cliff. "Die!" He yelled and kicked me in the stomach, sending me off the cliff. At that moment, I knew death was inevitable so I closed my eyes as I fell off the hundred feet plus cliff letting the sharp wind howling in my ears become a melody as I slowly accepted the darkness.
