DAMIAN'S POV "No, I didn't do anything, it wasn't my fault Emily died!" I yelled. "Believe me, I didn't kill my mate, I was framed, I didn't know anything about this!" "Damain Darkwood, you're condemned to death for the murder of your mate because of power so your position as the Alpha of the Lunar Eclipse pack has been revoked." An elderly man stated calmly as he stared at me. The disappointment in his eyes was evident as the daylight and I knew nothing I would say was going to convince him. "Believe me, I didn't kill her!" I yelled, but no matter how much I yelled, the man didn't listen to me and just turned away walking out of the room. "Time to die." A snicker came from behind. "Sebastian... you...." I shuttered not knowing what to say seeing the figure. "You....." "There's no need to talk, I bet you've figured it out, so go to hell," Sebastian yelled as he rushed to attack me. Even though I wanted to defend myself, I was powerless against it and the next thing I knew was that a claw was in my chest. ---- "Argh!" I yelled, waking up sweating bullets while my breathing was rather heavy. I had been having this dream ever since that incident three years ago and today was no different. Looking at the small cottage, I got up from the wooden bed and staggered outside walking towards the flowing river right in front of the cottage. Squatting down, I washed my face before proceeding to drink. After a while I was satisfied and raised my head. "Huh?" I froze immediately and raised my head. Not far from me was a body floating on the river, also from the looks of it, it seemed like the body belonged to a female. Not wasting any more time, I retrieved the body from the river, and much to my shock she was still breathing. Looking at the busies I shook my head as I carried the body back to my cottage and started the medication almost immediately. Luckily, I had a lot of herbs so I was able to make her condition stable after some hours as her condition was rather critical. After a while, I was done feeding her the medicine and sat thinking about my past. Soon tears trickled down my face ace as I thought about it. Even though I tried to stop it, I wasn't able to do so. "Argh!!" A soft moan sounded right behind me making me turn sharply. To my surprise, the figure I had just saved from the brink of death was sitting up on the bed looking around with vigilance. "Where...where is this..." She shuddered as she looked around. "Don't worry, you're safe." I smiled trying to reassure her by coming closer to her. I was rather shocked with the fact that she had woken up so quickly as I had estimated that it was going to take at least two days before she would wake up. "Don't come near..." The girl said weakly as she stared at me with vigilance. "I'm not an enemy, don't worry, you're in safe hands." I smiled while trying to approach her. "No, you're Alpha Asher, you want to kill me..." She shuddered as she looked at me, the fear was evident in her eyes. "Relax, I'm not going to hurt you." I smiled still trying to move closer. "No, don't come any closer!" She suddenly yelled, making me stop in my tracks. "You...you want to kill me right..." She shuddered as she stared at me. "Relax, I'm not a bad person, I saved you." I sighed, forcing out a smile. "No, I don't believe you..." She shuddered as she backed away to the other end of the bed. My mouth twitched after hearing what she said and I knew that some sort of person must be after her life. The one who she called Alpha Asher was probably the one. "Don't dare come any closer!" She yelled just as I was about to move and she backed away even more. I shook my head and decided to ignore her. She had to take her medication or else it was going to be bad. "Please don't kill me, I'll do whatever you want.." The girl sobbed seeing that I didn't listen to her. "I promise, I won't hurt you." I sighed, forcing a smile as I approached her. But, she didn't listen and continued begging not to come any closer. Just as I was a step away from her, she fell unconscious. Perhaps, it was from the fear of the ones who had hurt her that was why she had fainted. Shaking my head, I fed her the medicine and then placed her on the bed. I sighed as my actions just now drained a lot of my energy and I would need some time to recuperate. But then something was strange, her recovery speed was extremely fast. I wouldn't have been surprised if she was a werewolf, but then the scent she gave off was that of a human which surprised me as to how she was able to have such a high recovery speed. "Argh!!" Suddenly, I felt a rather familiar pain cruising through my body causing me to scream out loud. Immediately, I was covered in sweat and my breathing became heavy. I felt as if I was being trampled up by a thousand horses. My left hand was completely back while my right was devoid of blood. The pain continued to intensify with each minute and it felt even more worse. This was probably double the pain I had felt the last time. I was so preoccupied with treating the girl that I forgot today was the day I was going to go through the hellish pain. Normally, I would have prepared some herbs to help me relieve the pain, but now I could only wait till the pain subsides. I hoped I was going to be able to hold on as the pain was getting worse with each second and I was afraid I was going to lose any time soon. At first, the pain was just in my arms, next it spread to my legs and then finally it paralyzed me and I wasn't able to move even a bone. The only thing I could was groan in pain while hoping for the inhumane torture to stop.
