A man was looking at her through the bay window. She knocked loudly and wondered who he was and why he hadn’t called the police. “Don’t say it’s another murder.” But as he opened the door, she finally understood and realised who it was that needed her help. “Have you found her?” he asked. “My wife, Lucy, has gone missing. She went to work on Friday and hasn’t come home. No one will tell me anything.” Hayley walked in and shut the door behind her. “Please help,” said the lady’s voice again.
