"Kryos, please don't do this," Chloe said, her voice shaking. "I don't want you to get hurt. I can handle this."
"You're not a prisoner, and I won't let you be treated like one," Kryos said, his voice filled with conviction. "I'm going to speak to the alpha and I'm going to get you out of here."
Before Chloe could respond, Kryos turned and hurried off, leaving her standing alone in the hallway. She felt a mixture of fear and gratitude, but mostly she felt hope.
Hannah scanned the surroundings anxiously, searching for any sign of Chloe's presence.
"Where's Chloe?" she asked the group, her concern evident in her voice. One of the maids responded, her voice filled with uncertainty.
"She hasn't been to the kitchen since she prepared his Majesty and Princess Chloe's breakfast." Hannah nodd
