"Meet my parents? Oh, Chloe, you're even more foolish than you look. I've deceived you this entire time. I'm a werewolf, a part of a royal lineage. Did you really think someone like me would stoop so low as to be with someone like you?"Her eyes widened in shock, all color draining from her face. The weight of Dominic's words hit her like a sledgehammer to the chest."What... what are you talking about Dominic?" She asked, her voice barely a whisper.Chloe was just living her normal life until the moment when everything changed. It all started in a club, a chance encounter, and a gaze that lasted just a bit too long. The moment their eyes met, it was like time stood still. The mysterious man standing across the room made her heart skip a beat, and in that instant, everything she thought she knew about herself and the world around her was thrown into question.

First meeting
Chapter One She got out of the taxi, leaving the cab driver a generous tip and her most alluring smile before walking towards the club. There was a long line there, it was the biggest club in Manhattan of course, so that was expected, but she ignored them all, walking straight to the bouncer, a bald, huge man with arms as big as watermelons. He took one look at her before nodding and letting her in. Chloe blew him a kiss before striding into the club, ignoring the protests from the people outside. The loud thumping music and dimly lit atmosphere of the nightclub pulses with energy. Chloe, a confident and independent young woman in her mid-20s, strode inside, seeking a temporary escape from the world. She wove through the crowded dancefloor, feeling the heat and excitement of the Friday night. It had been a long week, being a financial analyst at a Fortune 500 company might sound nice, and admittedly had its perks, but the workload was insane and Chloe found herself looking forward to the weekend to cool off a little every week. Well, here it was. Normally, she would have picked a quiet bar downtown, but tonight she decided to blow off some stream by at the very least clubbing. Getting into the Ecstasy Club was easy for her, the five feet eight brunette had a physique that gave off the exoticism of a Greek model, even with her plus-size body shape and the gait and poise of a first lady. Her tan body, black hair and smoky grey eyes made her practically irresistible, and she wasn't afraid to use it to her advantage. Now, it was time to give herself a treat Chloe spotted a vacant seat at the bar, grateful for a momentary respite. She took a seat, ordering a refreshing cocktail from the bartender. Suddenly, a man, apparently in his early thirties, maybe late twenties, slicked-back hair and an air of overconfidence, sidled up next to her. His gaze lingering on her, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips. Chloe felt her skin crawl. He then smiled smugly, "Hey there, beautiful. Mind if I join you?" You already did, she thought, irritated by his presence. She spared the man a quick glance, unimpressed by his cocky demeanor. "Uhm-" "I am Brad." He said, thrusting out a hand, his smile opening up to reveal uneven, brown teeth. Chloe flashed him a polite smile, "Actually, I was hoping for a little alone time." She said coolly, "But thanks for asking." The man leaned in closer, undeterred by Chloe's response. His tone adopted a more persistent edge. "Gonna offer me a seat?" He asked. Chloe ignored him as the bartender approached them, holding her drink. "Is this man bothering you?" He asked, nodding at the man. Chloe shook her head, not wanting to cause a scene, "I'll handle it, thanks for the drink." The bartender flashed the man a warning look before leaving them alone. "Okay, look." Chloe said, swivelling to face this Brad, "I just came here to have a good time, I am not look to meet anyone or go home with anyone okay? So why don't you leave me alone and let's not have any problems, Brad" "Come on, sweetheart. Don't be so cold. Let me buy you a drink." Chloe raised an eyebrow, her voice laced with sarcasm. "Did you not hear anything I just said?" He shrugged, "I am a persistent man, now about that drink..." "Oh, how generous." Chloe said, rolling her eyes, "But I'm quite capable of buying my own drinks, thank you." The man frowned slightly, his ego had taken a slight hit, but he refused to give up. "You're feisty. I like that. How about I show you a good time tonight?" Chloe's patience wore thin, her tone now fringed with even more irritation. "I'm not interested, and I've already made myself clear." She snapped, "Please respect my boundaries." The man's false charm faded immediately, revealing what Chloe saw all along, an undercurrent of entitlement. He leaned forward, aggression showing in his posture, "What's your problem, babe? You think you're too good for me?" Chloe's eyes narrowed, her voice taking an assertive edge. "No, I just have standards." She said as calmly as she could muster, "And right now, you're not meeting them. So back off." Who the hell did he think he was? The man's frustration mounted, his arrogance verging on hostility. He slammed the bar top angrily, his voice rising. "You think you can reject me? You'll regret it." Chloe remained unfazed, meeting his gaze with a calm expression that somehow showed her unwavering resolve. "I won't lose sleep over your disappointment." She said, her voice low and calm. "Now, please leave me alone." The tension hungs in the air, the surrounding patrons seemingly frozen, catching glimpses of the confrontation. He looked like he was about to refuse and do something stupid when the bartender showed up again, glancing at Chloe before staring at the man. "Is anything the problem here?" He growled. Brad stared at him for a moment, but apparently deciding not to pursue confrontation huffed in frustration, casting one last resentful glance at Chloe before storming away, his pride wounded. Chloe takes a deep breath, reclaiming her composure. "Thank you." She mouthed to him. He winked at her, going back to his station while she turned her attention back to her drink, determined not to let the encounter dampen her evening. That was when she saw him. Sitting across the bar, his eyes fixed on her. Chloe's heart leapt to her mouth, he was extraordinarily handsome, dark black hair, full pink lips, slightly bushy eyebrows, and eyes so brown they were almost black. And the way he stared at her, f**k, she felt her heart rate skyrocket followed a certain familiar throbbing between her thighs. "Fuck." She muttered quietly, unable to tear her eyes away. As though he heard her, the man got of his stool and downing his drink, he walked towards her, his gaze never leaving her face.
