Bosses assistant

Chapter 4

I was in the shower when my mom yelled for me to come to get something to eat. Mom and dad were up to when I got up, and I told mom everything. I'm sure by now she told dad even though I asked her not too. I could not sleep last night, I was so mad and hurt that if I did go to sleep I may end up dreaming about Kavin and I did not want to do that. 

I did not what him knowing that I was crying over him. I'm a big girl now, I can move away, I can work in businesses. I can do whatever I wanted now.

As far as I know, what Kevin did helped me know more of what I want, and I did not want a man not right now or anytime soon.

After getting out of the shower and getting dressed I walked to the dinner table to eat. I loved my mom's cooking. No matter what, I knew if something was wrong, my mom has cookies made and whiskey to give me. 

Yes, whiskey was my mom's go-to drink and so was my dad's. Coffee and whiskey. I smile as my mom puts a big plate of food in front of me.

"Mom, you know I can't eat all that." I looked up at her.

She nods and sits next to me, "It's called sharing sweet girl." 

We started eating when my mom started talking about my 2 older sisters my older brother and my little brother. 

I have a little brother he is 17. He wanted to go to boot camp, so for the past year that is where he has been at. My mom can't be happier with that idea, she told me when my little brother was born, that he was going to go places. My dad will tell her, yes. he goes right in jail, he is just like his daddy.

Mom gets so mad at that. After telling me about him she goes on and tells me about the other 3 how good they are doing. I don't keep up with them that much, so when she tells me I like to know.

But then, after that, she gets on me, "Anna, have you looked in any of the jobs you put in?"

I told her, yes but that was a lie and I know she knew it, she did not talk about it again. Guess she can see it on my face, I did not want to talk about it that.

I get up and take the plate to the sick when someone tapped on the front door. I walk over and see it was Carly.

I open the door and looked at her, she had love bites all over her neck, "Looks like someone had a fun night." 

She just smiled and told me she talk to me later, she had a date with this man. She takes the keys and walks out.

As am looking at her leave I could not help but think if that is how it going to be now, she moved on with her life, and am sitting here eating eggs and bacon with my mom. 

I go to sit in the TV room with my dad. I pull out my phone and start looking at the job I had put in. 

After doing that I started to delete all the photos of Kaniv and me from my phone, all 2 years of them until I got a phone call.

"Hello?" I said

"Hello is this Anna King?" 

"Yes, it is. Can I help you?"

"Yes, you apply for one of the jobs with the business and I was hoping you like to come and talk to the boss himself?"

I had a smile on my face, I could not believe it, "Yes, what business is this."

The man on the phone did not talk for a good min, "Hello? You still there, where do I need to go, and what business is this?"

He gave me the address, but he had to go. He did not tell me what business but I did not care at then. 

***James POV***

Tony came running in the bedroom door, "Boss, I have your info on the girl."

I pop open my eyes and look at him, I was having a dam good dream and this ass had to come in and wake me up.

I get out of the bed and walk over to him and take the papers from him. Before I read them I wave my hand at Tony to leave so I can get dress. I go and pull out a 3 piece black suit with a black tie. I lay them next to the papers and get in the shower.

After I get done with my cold shower, I walk over to the bed and get dressed. I run one of my hands in my black hair as I pick up the papers and walk to the office.

Tony was waiting in the office when I walked in. "Ok, now what did you find out about her? What is her name?"

"Her name is Anna, Anna King. She is out of school and is 21 years old. She lives with her mom and dad but doesn't stay there much as she is with her boyfriend most of the nights."

Boyfriend? She has a boyfriend. This can't be, I may have to do something about that.

"How long has she been with him?" I asked

"What I found out is that they  been dating for 2 years, but last night before the party, she found him with any other girl and she dumps him."

I smiled nodding my head. That's a good thing.

"There is one more thing boss, she been applying for jobs outside of the USA. And come to find out she has put in a job for one of your businesses in Finland."

I look up at him smiling, "Good job Tony, what business she apply for?"

"To be your assistant."

I was smiling from ear to ear and Tony knew this made me happy, "Did you get her phone number? Call her to tell her to come here, so we can talk about the job."

"Yes, but what if she don't take it?"

"I'll take care of that part."

I sit back in the chair looking at her photo as Tony calls Anna up. They sit there and talk for a good min. "Anna said she will be here in 2 hours."

I nodded, "Thanks, friend."
