Bosses assistant

Chapter 9

I jumped and yelled when the door to the room opened. I looked to see who it was, it was an older lady maybe in his 50's.

"Am sorry Ms, I did not mean to scare you." She told me.

My hand was at my chest feeling my heart. Trying to slow down. 

"The boss told me to come in and wake you up, your things are here waiting for you, and to tell you it's time to eat." She nods and walks out the door.

Still holding myself I get up and go out the door. By the front door was the 3 boxes I had. Before I got to the boxes I can smell food, was that bacon? I walk in the kitchen and look around, James was sitting at the bar. drinking coffee. 

"How did you sleep last night?" James asked me as he was reading the paper.

"Good, thank you." I smiled.

"Come sit eat something, we have a big day today." 

I nodded and walked over and sat next to him. 

"You will start work first thing Monday. So, you have the weekend to go out and look around and see Finland. 

I nodded as the lady put a plate of food in front of me, "Bacon and eggs, I love it. Thank you."

She nodded and I started eating. It was so good, I wish I had more then I did.

"I have some business to do. I'll be back later. If you need to go anywhere here is your keys." I look over and he was sitting car keys down on the bar. 

"Keys?"

"Yes, to your new car. Danny will be with you if you need anything today." And with that being said he walks out the door. 

I look over at the lady and she is cleaning. I get up and go over and take the two plats to the sick, "Thank you for the food."

She looks up a little lost at what I said, but smiles and nods.

I pick up the boxes one by one and go to my room and put them up. My laptop was on the desk in my room. With a little note telling me what the WIFI password was.

After putting my things away and getting dressed I go brush my teeth. The bathroom was just like any bathroom, has a shower and a tub. It was so cool to look at.

I walk over to my laptop and open it looking for Carly's facetime number.

She picks up on the 3 rings yelling at me.

"Anna, how long have you been there, you did not call your mom or me. We were scared!"

I smiled and told her everything was ok, and I was so sleepy. I told her am going to call mom when I get done talking to her.

Carly told me all about her new boyfriend. Even though they just started going out she was in love with him. Carly had done that, she fall in love to fast but moved on even faster. 

After I showed her my room and what the house looked like I showed her the window. She was yelling all happy about all of this. 

I tell her goodbye and I call my mom on facetime. She was so happy that everything was working out so far. She did tell me if I needed to come home, it was ok. She said dad and her miss me so much. 

After I get off the phone, I walk out to the leaving room, Danny was there.

"Hello, Danny. So, it's Friday, what is there to do around here that is fun?" I asked him

He sits there and thanks for a good min, " There are bears around here, but most of the fun things to do is hang out with your friends." 

That's nice, I had no friends here, no family, I did not know anyone here. "Will guess I need to go make some friends huh?" I pick up the keys and we both walk off the door. After Danny puts his finger pint in the button the doors open and we get in.

What feels like 5 sec the doors open again and we walk out. Danny shows me where my new car was and I was so happy, it was a black 4 door Mercedes. "A Mercedes? Are you shitting me?" Am jumping up and down yelling smiling from ear to ear when I hear James, "I'm guessing you like it then?"

I turn to look at him, I could not stop myself I ran to him and jumped in his arms telling him to thank you. When I saw what I did, I jumped down telling him sorry.

He was smiling, 'It's fine. Go have fun." He told me and I smiled and nodded to him

Danny and I got in the car, I was so happy Finland drove on the right side of the road, like back home.

I started off slow, I did what the speed was, but Danny told me where to go so we can see what this car had. After getting out of the town we hit the open road. 

As soon as I hit the gas the car make sweet music to my ears. By the time I hit the gas to 1 in later I was going over 130. Then the next thing I know we were going 170. I did not want to push my luck, I knew how to drive. 

I had a boyfriend one time that was a car racer and we showed me what I needed to do and everything. But I did not want to push my luck, so I slowed down so we can go back in town. 

I looked at the time and it was 3 p.m. "Coffee?" I asked Danny and he nodded.

He told me where to go to get some good coffee and soon as we got there we got out of the car and got some coffee.

As we sat there drinking the coffee Danny's phone was going off, he picks it up and talks. He was talking so low that I could not hear him. After a min he told me we had to go, the boss needed him back at the business.
