Chapter 9 “Come, child.” The glowing man opened the golden door wide, gesturing for Maggie to enter. Maggie looked after the disappearing group for one moment more before stepping inside the shining building. “Wow.” The word tumbled from her lips. Every surface in sight glowed with the same shimmering brightness that covered the man. From the chandelier that hung from the ceiling, to the table and vase that stood in the center of the entryway. Even the pale purple flowers in the vase radiated a strange light. “This way.” The man skirted the table and opened another glowing door. In this room, as in the entryway, every surface gleamed.
