POV Lucas - September 7
When Meghan enters the room, my heart skips a beat. Not that I’m into Meghan or something like that. Not at all. But know Liam and I can, hopefully, get some information about our mate. “Can anybody tell me why I’m here?” Meghan shares a look with her brother. Aiden just shrugs “ask the twins” Then she focuses her glare on me and my brother “talking about the two of you, what were you guys doing in my biology class this afternoon? And why the hell did it look like you two saw a ghost?”
Liam starts talking “the reason why we were there is not important right now. We’ll let you know when it’s necessary. And the so-called ghost we saw, is our mate. Which brings us to you! Since she was sitting next to you, you must be aware of the fact she is human. So, Lucas and I were wondering, can you tell us some things about her? Because we don’t know anything about her, other than that she is destined to be with us.” Meghan’s mouth drops open as she listens to my brother’s words. As he finishes, she shouts out “you mean Liv?!” Then she realises she was yelling at us and wants to apologize but I wave my hand through the air, cutting her of.
“Alright” she says while re-positioning herself on the couch “this is all I know. Her name is Olivia Campbell, she is 16 years old. And like you already set, human. Her parents died in a car crash; she was also in that car but survived. Although, she did spend some time in the hospital. Anyway, she lives on her own right now. Her aunt supports her with her primary needs but didn’t want her to come and live with her. Other than her aunt, she doesn’t have any relatives. So, she lives in an apartment quite close to the school which, obviously her aunt rents for her.” Meghan pauses to take a deep breath “Please guys, I know that being loved by the two of you is the best thing that can happen to her right now. But if I may ask, take slow steps. She doesn’t have anyone else in her life. And I really don’t want her to get hurt even more.”
In the corner of my eye, I see Aiden looking at his sister and then he looks at me and Lucas. “If you don’t mind” he starts on a careful tone “maybe Meghan could invite her to our parents house tomorrow after school. Then the girls get some time to talk, and Meghan can try and find out if Olivia knows anything about werewolves. And then, me and the both of you can get there as well. If she is unaware of the existence of werewolves it will be just me having some friends over. Maybe Connor should come too! And if she, for some reason, knows werewolves exists the two of you can talk to her.”
Lucas and I look at each other, and we both nod. “It’s actually a pretty good idea. If you’d want to help, Meghan?” my brother asks our Beta’s sister. She nods “of course!” “Very well then!” Aiden says before shooting a warning look in the direction of me and my brother. “I must warn you; she is human. Which means she doesn’t have a wolf. I know it’s not the fist time that a werewolf is mated to a human but keep in the back of your mind that because of this. Not having a wolf, I mean. She will feel a certain pull towards the to of you, but her experience of the mate bond will be a little bit different then ours.
I feel myself getting tired and suddenly I long to my bed. “So, everyone is on board?” I look around the room and everyone nods. “Good, I want to thank you all in advance. But I’m really tired and I’d like to go to bed right now. So, I will see you all tomorrow then” I say before leaving the room and heading up the stairs towards my bedroom, my brother following close behind me.
POV Olivia - September 7
I just finished packing my bag for tomorrow when I hear my phone chime. I grab my phone and see an incoming text message from Meghan.
Hey Liv!
Do you have plans for tomorrow afternoon? If no, would you like to come hang out at my place? Maybe watch some movies or something? And do homework of course. Just kidding!
Love, Meghan
A smile finds its way to my face when I read the next. It’s been a long time since I hang out with some friends. Not that I have had many friends in the past. Don’t get me wrong, I did have a couple of close friends and we used to hang out. But since the accident I haven’t talked to them that much. And they live too far away to visit them. Maybe someday I’ll see them again I think to myself before sending a reply to Meghan.
Hi!
I don’t have any plans and would love to hang out. Movies sounds good to me! I’ll see you tomorrow at school!
I plug my phone in the charger and place it on the nightstand after I set the alarm for tomorrow morning. Then I walk to the bathroom to brush my teeth. When my evening routine is done. I hop in my bed and close my eyes. The last thing I think about before falling asleep are two identical looking boys!
