Charlie had calmed down before Tim arrived, but he started back up again when he walked through the door. Though this was my apartment, I still figured I would give them some space, so I took Scruffy out for a walk while they talked it out. Besides, I really didn’t want to be there for all the dramatics. And if I had to be honest even further, I didn’t want to be around Tim after Charlie’s big revelation. It really shouldn’t have mattered at all, but I was still reeling from it.
