The next morning I woke up with a horrible pain in my stomach. I knew it was probably all in my mind, or it could have been the wine I chugged after getting home, but I decided to call in sick anyway. I needed time to sort things out, and I really didn’t want to see Laverne. She would be able to tell something was wrong in a heartbeat, and I just didn’t want to get into it right now. I also didn’t want anyone to see that I was letting someone else affect me so much.
