THE VAMPIRE CEO MATE

Today was the day....Was she nervous? Well of course she was. But she wasn't going to show it. Claire Willow signed to herself. But deep down she wasn't so sure about that. It was not that Claire lacked confidence, oh no that's not the case. She was pleased with the way she looked, Claire smiled at how her golden toned complexion shined under the shining beaming morning sun. Her clothes emphasized her curves but in a professional manner. Her pumps added a few inches to her stature, her make-up was light and natural, her full lips shining from the light lip gloss she applied. Her big brown eyes held strength and excitement. And her curly hair was neatly pulled into a ponytail that settled at the top of her back. She knew she looked good! Claire Willow worked for the famous Dragonoff Corporation in the New York branch. One of the CEO , Ryan Dragonoff , would be in town to check on them. She received a request from the man to see her today, but why would the CEO want to talk to a lowly worker in the design department? She had been working in the Corporation for ten years undetected by any higher-ups. So it was unbelievable for her to believe that the CEO would want to see her. Claire packed her car in the underground garage at the Dragonoff corporation building, safely parked she sat in the driver side seat for a few minutes trying to calm herself and clear her mind. She finally grabbed her red leather bag and stepped out of the car making her way to the elevator. When she stepped into the elevator, she looked down at her navy blue shoe, this was the tenth time she had checked her shoes to make sure it was clean and appropriate. Looking at her reflection at the elevator metallic walls she could see what she wore,her navy blue blazer and pencil black skirt still looked in a good condition. She smiled at what she saw and was happy to know she looked good enough. The elevator door finally arrived and opened at the lobby of the Dragonoff Corporation building. She stepped out, the light hitting her golden toned skin which made her look she was glowing. The lobby receptionist, a young woman named Kimberly, whistled lowly when she walked through" Well, I see someone woke up on the right side of bed today, Good morning to you". She smiled in response "Good morning Kimberly". "Claire, you look amazing! you wear a business suit so elegantly. Are you giving a presentation today". "Girl I didn't tell you" Kimberly nodded no "The CEO wants to see me today" she told her. "The CEO wants to see you..... Ryan Dragonoff wants to see you For what? She asked. Claire shrugged "I really don't know, I haven't done anything worse or anything extraordinary for him to see me". Claire felt that she was an ant in an enormous colony. And that nobody would even notice her but it seemed strange that the CEO would even know her or want to meet her. "Well, whatever it is I hope it's nothing bad because I can't afford to lose this job right now". Kimberly thought "I don't think the CEO will come all the way from the main branch at London just to fire you, I feel it has to be something good Claire". "Alright, if you say so it's almost 9am I don't want to be late for the meeting, I will fill you in later". She waved goodbye to the receptionist and walked to the main elevator. As the elevator doors opened and she stepped into the elevator, she heard someone call out to her. "Claire! hold the door!" the voice caught her attention in time and she quickly pressed the button for "door open". She smiled when she saw the owner of the voice step in. "Thanks, girl". it was Madeline Sanders, Claire best friend. Her best friend scanned her from top to bottom and said " Wow, you're looking professional and exceptionally good looking today". Claire laughed and said "Girl I look professional and good looking everyday". "No, but today you're looking so different and so sexy, are you trying to seduce someone I don't know". Claire laughed hard "Hell no, I'm sure their is nobody worth seducing around here". Madeline trying to adjust her clothes and shoes after running asked Claire "Oh, did they tell you what the meeting is all about yet". Claire shook her head "I'm still just as clueless as you, when the department head, Mr James gave me the memo that the CEO wants to see me he didn't state any specific reason for it". Just then the elevator door opens and they both walked out together. Madeline looked at her friend and asked "Are you ready". "No, not really". Claire answered. Madeline smiled " You got this, girl!". Then they both smiled at each other, said their goodbyes and went their separate ways. Claire first went to her cubicle to drop her bag and pick up her company issued laptop. Then she went to the meeting room to wait for what is to come. Pacing back and forth, nervous on what would happen at the meeting she kept telling herself to take "Deep breaths" . She kept thinking to herself, Why was she so nervous, this was not the first time she was having a meeting but the first time she is having a meeting with the damn CEO! himself. "Deep breaths" she kept telling herself and she tried to calm down. Just then the meeting door opened and her supervisors secretary and personal assistant Sarah,walked in and greeted Claire. "Good morning, Miss Claire, how are you doing today". "Good I suppose". Claire said. Claire made her way to the cushy leather chairs and sat down nervously. She was surprised that even with her nervousness the chairs were soft and comfortable to sit on and it helped her relax a bit. Forcing herself back to the present she asked "Do you know when he will be here, his he on his way". "That was what I was coming to tell you about, Mr James received a messaged a few minutes ago that Mr. Ryan won't be able to make it, so he sent a representative to fill you in on the details instead". Claire's face fell, so he wasn't coming? all her nervousness was for what, all her good suit and dressing for nothing. "Thanks for letting me know" She muttered in disappoinment. "When will the representative be here?" Sarah glanced at her watched "He would be here in a few minutes". Just then a tall, young, good looking man with blonde hair, wore an all black suit with a white shirt along a red and blue striped tie and polished all black shoes walked in the meeting room and started to assess everybody in the room. She wondered who was this man that could intimidated her with his presence and also very handsome, he had amazing features. "You must be Claire" He said. Oh, he has a wonderful accent as well she noticed. "My name is Tyler Dragonoff, I am Ryan's brother". oh, so he was french! The man made his way to Claire and she quickly stood as he brought out his hand to shake hers . "I came to apologise on behalf of my brother Ryan, he had an emergency to attend too I hope you don't mind". "Oh, No I don't" Claire quickly answered. Still taken by the man, she stared at the man for what looked like hours and observing his features. Damn.... the man was handsome, sexy and fine as hell. She wondered if he was married and then she spotted a shining golden ring on his finger. Claire wasn't surprised because it would have been a big shocker if he wasn't married. "Well, he would like to extend an invitation for a dinner meeting tonight at Cherry Blossom restaurant at 7pm" he spoke. "Oh, ummm yes, sure I'll be there 7pm sharp". "Wonderful, I will relay to him your message" he said smiling at her, then he looked at his watch. "Oh, I need to go now, I will tell Ryan about your coming, until next time Claire". He smiled and gave a slight wave before leaving the room. After he left, Claire left out a sign of relief "Ok , thank goodness that is over" she told herself. Then she started to gather her things and think that things didn't go as she had thought it would but she had tonight to gather her s**t together and really find out what the CEO wants from her.
