In no time she received a text “Book a hotel and stay in Singapore for three days, your visa will be ready by then, you’ll be flying to Orlando, Florida and you’ll be working in Advent healthcare. The CBI has arranged everything for you, your safe there, need not worry about us, dump your old sim card and use a new one in the name Dr. Steven Irwin. Switch off your phone before you move out of the airport. Carys sighted “God is this price I am paying for being a whistle blower” she said to herself and moved out and stayed in a hotel for 3 days, couldn’t go out anywhere, being safe matters a lot now. After three days Carys landed at New Orlando international airport and texted her dad Carys: Dad, Reached Orlando safely Allen pillai: Someone will be waiting for you with a name card, meet my friend Dr. Richardson. He’ll help you. All the best baby, daddy is proud of you. Tears welled up in her eyes, everything is new out here, she has no idea what Florida is like, she was more worried about her Mom Mrs. Molly who had divorced her dad and she is alone. Carys met a tall and strong man holding her name written in block letters, Carys approached him and said “Hi, I am Carys” “Hi Carys, Nevin Hawkins, personal assistant of Dr. Richard, Welcome to Orlando, Dr. Richard is waiting for you in his office”. “Thank you so much Mr. Hawkins” At Advent healthcare Carys was led into Richard's office by Mr. Nevin, its magnificent, she thought to herself and walked in. Mr. Nevin knocked softly on the door, “Yes come in” “Dr. Richardson, Dr. Carys is here” Richard looked up and met Carys's gaze and smiled, Welcome Dr. Carys, now I know why my friend is so proud of you, you’re amazing” Carys smiled and sighted thank you Dr. Richardson, I am grateful to you for all the help. “It’s nothing, I can do anything for Allen, how is he?” Carys sighted and took a deep breath. “He is good and sorry for all the trouble Dr. Richardson.” “Carys don’t be sorry, I heard about you from your Mentor, I believe that you’ll be a great doctor” “Thank you so much for the wonderful opportunity, Dr. Richardson, I promise to do my best”. Dr. Richard nodded and called Nevin to drop Carys in her condo, Carys followed Nevin. Nevin stopped at a restaurant as it was time for lunch, he knew Carys was exhausted and hungry, seeing the cozy warm restaurant Carys smiled at Nevin and said “ thank you Mr. Nevin, I am damn ravenous” and both of them walked in, the tables were decorated with wild blue flowers, the walls were covered with beautiful paintings which had some details about Florida and its beauty, they ordered a simple lunch and Nevin said “ Ms. Carys, I know what you are going through right now, Dr. Richardson told me everything, tomorrow when you start working be careful , don’t disclose anything to anyone, giant pharmacies have lot of connections, your enemies might come to know your whereabouts which is dangerous for everyone connected to you and he smiled your babies will be landing tomorrow” . “Omg really?” Yes”, “Actually I have never been away from my babies since their birth, past month was for terrible for all of us, can’t wait to see them” Lunch arrived, both of them ate in silence, Nevin paid for the lunch saying that it’s on Dr. Rich and dropped her off at her Condo. It was a two-bedroom unit with unique furniture, it looked neat and tidy. Carys was exhausted from jetlag. She couldn’t think anything more, she had a good shower and slept like a baby, it been so many days since she had slept peacefully. Next Day while Carys was getting ready for work, she received a text from Nevin that he would pick her babies from the airport at 11.30am and drop them at the hospital's nursery, seeing the text Carys smiled and texted back “Thank you so much Mr. Nevin “. Her emotions were surging high, it was because of her own actions and inhibition that she and her kids had to move far away from home. When Carys reached the hospital, a young receptionist greeted her politely and guided her to the HR when all her formalities were over the HR manager introduced Carys to the Dr. Justin Saunders a reputed neurologist They shook hands with each other “Dr. Justin, Carys Allen” Dr. Justin had a stern look, he said “Dr. Carys Allen, it’s your first day here, right? “yeah” “Today your job is to learn about the patients in the ER and know how the hospital functions” “Okay, thank you Dr. Justin”. Carys looked around the ER and found a plump nurse, she was cute and had a sweet smile, Carys walked up to the nurse and introduced herself “Hi, Dr. Carys Allen” Resident in neurology” The nurse introduced herself as “Miranda James, Dr. Carys seems like it’s your first day here, how can I help you?” Carys smiled and said “please help me to visit the patients in the ER and understand their problems, later I have to deal with other departments” “Sure, follow me”, soon nurse Miranda took Carys around the ER and was about to check with the inpatients, Carys got a call from Nevin, she was excited on seeing his call and excused herself to attend the call. “Hi Nevin” “Carys, we are in the ground floor nursery”. Carys was so excited and happy, tears were flowing down, she couldn’t control herself, she informed Miranda that she had something to do and would be back soon and ran to the nursery. Her two munchkins were sitting on those small colorful chairs looking tired, on seeing their Mommy, they jumped from their seats and ran towards her and hugged her legs, Carys knelt down and embraced them, tears of joy flowing down, she gently kissed and carried them. It was a lovely sight to see a beautiful woman carrying the adorable kids. She said “mommy missed you babies; I am so sorry that you have to go through all these”. “No Mommy you’re the best, Great grandma told us that you are a valiant person and those bad people cannot hurt us, we are proud of you Mommy, we Love you” The words from her adorable kids melted her heart, the kids her wiped the tears with a tissue, Carys kissed her babies and told them “Meet your baby sitter Ms. Hundley, be obedient and good, Mommy will pick you up in the evening, your favourite lunch and snacks are here, have a great day babies, love you, I have to get back to work” She waved at them and left to meet nurse Miranda, the day went by peacefully, Carys learnt a lot about the hospital through Miranda and finally left home with her kids. All the three showered and ate a simple dinner, the kids were tired due to jetlag and slept soundly. Carys looked at her twins Dhruv and Thara, her cute bundles of joy are growing fast, and strong, she kissed them and closed the door behind.
