Chapter Six

Alpha Hunter’s POV

All of a sudden Isabella started screaming and crying in the passenger seat. I tried to ask her what was wrong but she didn’t answer. I pulled over on the side of the road and slammed on the breaks while doing so. I tried grabbing her arms to pull them away from her face, but even the tingles of our mate bond couldn’t get her attention. What the hell happened I asked myself. I have never heard of the rogue denouncing having two waves and this one almost seemed worse. Thankfully, she suddenly stopped as if the pain had left and looked over at me with her red puffy eyes.

She whispered a slight “Sorry.”

“Please do not apologize. I just need to make sure you are okay” I said trying to calm down my wolf side. If I know one thing for sure I don’t like seeing her this way. 

“I’m fine” she responded just loud enough for me to hear.

I took one last glance at her before pulling the car back onto the road and leaving her packs… well former pack now I guess, territory.

Isabella's POV

When Hunter pulled back onto the road I was actually grateful to be leaving my pack territory. To get a fresh start after everything that just went down. I looked out the window trying to hold back tears thinking about my family. Still trying to wrap my head around how they could do this to me. Taking me out of my thoughts hunter asked me

“So what was all that back there?”

I looked over at him and said “They said you told them you wanted to make sure I knew I wasn’t welcome back without your permission so they made me a rogue. Then Ry… Riley tried to apologize even though he was for it and did nothing to try and stop it so I severed out parabatai bond which is what you just witnessed.”

Hunter paused for a second and then responded “First I want to apologize for my part that isn’t what I meant when I-”

“I know.” I said, cutting him off. “Riley told me. That’s why I cut our parabatai bond. His reasoning was unjust for what he did to me. We are family and family is supposed to be everything.”

“Okay. Secondly, why didn’t you tell me you are an Alpha Female or that you had a parabatai bond? Do you know how rare those two things are? I guess I should have guessed seeing as you are a white wolf, which I have also never heard of by the way.” 

“I didn’t tell you I was an Alpha Female because I didn’t want you using it to your advantage I guess?” I said, more like a question. “I didn’t tell you about my parabatai bond or why I was a white wolf because it didn’t seem relevant. What use is it? Plus the bond is gone now anyways.”

I ended the conversation there and decided to take a nap. I wonder how long of a drive this is going to be I thought as I drifted off to sleep.

I woke a few hours later and asked Hunter how much longer the car ride would be. He replied saying just over an hour and asked if I was hungry. I responded yes so we stopped somewhere to eat.

We ate lunch in silence and when we were done we got back in the car to finish our journey. I decided to make use of the time by finding out more information from Hunter. I asked him all sorts of questions and found out a lot of information. I found out he too is any only child, his parents also died in a rogue attack but his died when he was 18 so he was already Alpha and has been now for two years. The car ride made me feel better about moving to his pack with him. Maybe I could be happy there?

After a little while longer we pulled down a road that was surrounded by trees and drove for another thirty minutes before his pack was in sight.

Hunter’s pack seemed huge, which should have been expected, I thought to myself when I remembered this was the Black Moon pack. We kept driving all the way to the middle where there were two large houses. One was 5 stories tall that I assumed was the pack house. The other is the one Hunter pulled closer to and it was a huge 3 story mansion. Is this his house? How rich is this pack?

Hunter parked the truck and got out walking around to get my door for me. As we walked to the back of the truck to grab my bags Gavin and Troy came out to greet us. They seemed a lot nicer now that we were back on their territory. Even Hunter seemed more relaxed. We walked into the house and up a flight of stairs where Hunter showed me where I would be staying. Correction. Where we would be staying apparently. As he opened the door I was hit hard by his scent. I could tell immediately this was his room and where we were apparently staying together. It had been a long day and Hunter had been driving all day so we decided to go to bed. Hunter voiced that we were mates so we were sleeping in the same bed. I objected immediately and said I wasn’t ready. Hunter pulled out a few blankets and a pillow and made a make-shift bed on the floor. That would suffice I thought as I went into the bathroom to start getting ready. I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, washed my face, and changed into my pajamas. When I walked out of the bathroom Hunter went in behind me to get ready. When the door closed I got into the make-shift bed on the floor and fell asleep immediately.
