Mated to Alpha Hunter

Chapter Two

I looked over at Ry to see him being tackled by the rogue wolf. He was taken by surprise so the rogue wolf had him pinned down and was about to go for the kill. I immediately started to pounce at the rogue wolf who was attacking my cousin to try and stop him from killing him, but I failed as I was tackled to the ground by another rogue who I didn’t see coming. It was a two v two fight and so far we were losing… terribly, but it wasn’t over yet I thought as I saw Ry get out from underneath the rogue. We were too far out from the main pack land to mindlink for help. We had to think fast and act quick if we were going to survive.

“This isn’t going to end well” I mindlinked Riley.

“Ye- Hey what is that sound?” he quickly got sidetracked while responding.

I listened closely while still managing to fight off my rogue and heard three sets of thunderous paws heading towards us. There was a 50/50 chance - it was either reinforcements from our pack that happened to hear what was happening or, and hopefully not, more rogues. Not even a minute later the three wolves were close enough to see. Among them was a pitch black wolf meaning it was an Alpha and based on the size a very powerful one at that. The two wolves flanking him must be his Beta and Third but, who are these wolves I thought to myself. The three wolves attacked the two rogues and easily beat them, they kept them alive for questioning I assumed. Just as fast as they came they disappeared behind the trees.

“Do you think they are shifting?” I mindlinked Riley.

“Maybe… Do you think we should too?” he asked.

“I don’t know Ry, it’s your call.” I replied.

“Alright let’s go shift” he said making his decision.

We shifted back right there, as parabatai we could shift back into our clothes, and not naked as everyone else did. As we finished shifting Ry stepped as close as he could get to me as the three strangers came out from behind the trees. They all had weird looks as if they were wondering how we changed so quickly.

The tallest ,who was standing in the middle, must have been the Alpha I had seen earlier. And damn was he good looking. He was at least 6’6” and was very muscular. He wasn’t wearing a shirt so I could easily see his 6-pack. His hair was the same dark raven color as my own. When we made eye contact I immediately felt the bond as he growled “Mine!.” and ran towards me trying to get me away from Ry, an unmated male, not knowing he was my cousin.

“Oh s**t” I mind linked Ry. “We have a problem”

“Mine, why the hell is this guy growling Mine?” Ry asked out loud as he was being forced away from me.

“Because I am her mate smartass” replied the unknown Alpha.

“And who are you?” asked Riley.

“None of your business pup.” he replied.

I stood there shocked not able to say anything. Mate? I’m only 17 (granted I was turning 18 in two months) and I already found my mate and I don’t even know who he is and even worse he’s an Alpha which means he’s going to be even more possessive and temperamental than a normal mate. This is a recipe for disaster I thought to myself. I couldn’t move… I was just standing there in the forest listening to the man who is mate and my cousin fighting. All of a sudden I snapped out of it when the mysterious man was halfway between the distance he created between me and Riley. 

I couldn’t do this, I thought to myself. I don’t want to be here. 

I mindlinked Ry “3...2...1…” and thankfully he caught on to what I was doing.

On one we turned and bolted as fast as we could heading in separate directions. They would have to split up to catch us both. Ry and I know this forest like the back of our hands and I mindlinked him the plan to wrap around and meet up further ahead. Not surprisingly the Alpha followed after me and I assume the Beta and Third went after Ry. We barely had any lead on the mysterious group of strangers chasing us through the forest. The plan was probably gonna fail I thought as Ry and I wrapped around and met up to run side by side. Barely just after Ry and I met up I felt an arm wrap around my waist and stop me from continuing running. As the arm wrapped around my I felt the tingles of the mate bond and knew it was my mate. However, the Beta and Third were not as gentle as they tackled Ry to the ground. 

“Why did you run?” the Alpha growled at me.

“Who are you?” I rebutted with an attitude.

“My name is Alpha Hunter, now why did you run?” he responded with a growl, emphasizing the word Alpha.

I didn’t respond. I just gave him a pointed look.

“Fine. At least what is your name, and who is that?” Hunter said pointing a finger at Ry.

“Isabella and that is Riley”

Hunter sat there quietly for a minute before swinging me over his shoulder and carrying me off while the other two men with him dragged Riley behind us
