Jake POV: As soon as Rebeckas scream reaches our ears I see Adam leap at the fat little doctor. He fires the gun and blood splatters from Adams shoulder but it doesn't stop him. He punches him hard in the face and his unconscious body falls to the floor. I pick up the gun and run after Adam through the green hallways. The smell of vomit and blood gets stronger the closer we get to Rebeckas room. "Rebecka!" Adam yells and falls on his knees beside her on the bathroom floor. Her small, fragile body is curled up, the wet fabric of her clothes clings to her like a second skin. Blood runs from her nose and there are traces of blood on her shirt and in the corner of her mouth. The moment Adam touches her she gasps violently and whimpers in pain. "What happened? Was that a gunshot?"
