It's been a month since we came to the cabin. I've not left except to go to school and write my exams. I wrote my last paper today and now I've got all the time to focus on my training. I'm so excited to be getting this far in my training. My birthday is in a two of days which means I get to change for the first time.
After dinner, I went up to my room and got ready for bed. I changed into my pajamas, brushed my teeth and got into bed. I was so excited for my birthday that I couldn't stop bouncing. It was like I'm high on caffeine or something. I must have been tired because I drifted to sleep the moment my head hit the pillow.
I was playing in the forest, running around with Theo when suddenly I sensed danger. I felt some rouges crossing our broader. Being of alpha blood and the future queen meant I could sense the things. "Theo, we gotta go." I said.
"Come on, Rory let's play a little." he said.
"Theo, no we gotta go. Please." I said. He must have heard the eagerness in my voice cause he finally agreed. We held hands like we usually do and ran to the pack house. We ran like our lives dependent on it, mostly because it did.
The moment I entered the pack house I screamed," We are under attack."
No one paid attention to me, they went along with their activities as if I wasn't even there. My body began to shake as I felt danger getting near. I ran up to my dad's office and burst in, "Dad, we are under attack. Some rouges just entered the territory." I said.
"OK, honey. Calm down. I'll check with the guards." he said as he stood up and came to me. Dad was about to mindlink one of the warriors when mom came rushing in. "Honey the pack is under attack." she said.
Dad called one of the guards to take me to safety. Theo and I were escorted to the basement, where all the kids we hiding. We stayed there for God knows how long until mom came to get me. The moment I got outside the stench of blood hit my nose, bodies were lying around.Pack members and rouges alike. Mom led me to dad's office. They were talking in hushed voices, after some while I was told to got to my room and pack my things. After packing we got into the car and drove off. We left so suddenly that I didn't even get to say goodbye to Theo. At least I knew that he was alive, through the the bond we shared as friends. I was so exhausted that I slept in the car.
I woke up when I felt a jolt in the car. There was a loud crash and we went flying downhill. "Mom, what's going on? Why are we falling?" I asked.
Mom didn't say anything. In the front my dad was muttering curses, I've never seen my dad afraid before. But I that moment, he was so frightened you'd think he wasn't an alpha. The car suddenly came to a stop at the bottom of the hill. I looked around and saw that mom used her body as a shield to protect me. "Mom... Mom wake up." I said. But she didn't move.
"Mom, wake up." I said again, but she still wouldn't move. I unbuckled my seat belt and jumped into the front to check on dad, he was covered in blood and he could bearly breath. "Dad, mom won't wake up." I said.
"It's OK princess, she's just resting." he said.
" OK, daddy."
"Give me your hand." dad said. I gave it to him and he put it in his large ones and covered mine. "I want you to promise me something, OK princess?" he said.
"OK, daddy."
"Promise daddy that you'd be a good girl, that you'll train and become the strongest princess in the world." he said.
"I promise daddy, I'll train very hard."
"Promise me you'll take care of the pack in my absence."
"I promise daddy, I will." I felt a shock go through my body as if I was electrocuted. After that dad stopped breathing. I tried shaking him but he wouldn't wake up. "DADDY, MOMMY!!!"
I screamed their names but they wouldn't move. Then I felt daddy's friend getting closer to the car and I thought he'd come to save us but instead he poured petrol on the car and burned it.
"DADDY...MOMMY... WAKE UP!!"
"MOM!!!!"
DAD!!!"
I screamed but they still wouldn't wake up. Even with the flames cutting into their flesh, they wouldn't wake up.
